Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Well, it's an indirect source actually. Something I can't share (not coz of secrecy, but coz of lack of availability in the media). But, Barcelona seems to be really interested in Herrera and it breaks my heart to say that we might consider selling him in a swap deal for Neymar. And, Ousmane Dembele is Barcelona's targeted replacement. All this makes sense, but why would Neymar even consider leaving? It would seem that Fabinho has resurfaced as a replacement for Herrera. Our CDM choice still remains to be Dier/Matic. I just hope none of this happens, as I'd love to see Herrera become our captain next season. Neymar loves Barcelona and Herrera loves United. Apart from the time when SAF sold Beckham, I can't recall any other instance where a club sells a beloved player.
This is a bannable offence if you ask me.

Apparently, we are in for Neymar. It's been silent, but a bid could be made in the next few days. That doesn't surprise me. What surprises me is that Neymar is actually considering it. Can't see why he'd want to leave Barcelona (can anyone make a logical speculation on that?). Nevertheless, Neymar to Man Utd has more probability compared to Ronaldo's return.

Sorry mate, just can't see this. Don't think Neymar would be willing to play as a CDM. Maybe we should consider a swap deal with Messi instead, and then De Gea has cover in case Romero moves on.

Swap Herrera for Neymar?

Funny the grudge so many hold toward Rooney, for 'holding the club to ransom', yet some would love to aquire the likes of Neymar and veer toward unprecedented levels of player power, agent manipulation and drama. It would be unspeakably disappointing to see Manchester United turn into some plastic, galactico-lite FIFA fantasy, and the idea of part exchanging one of our most important, passionate and loyal players to head down that road is abhorrent and ridiculous.

Thankfully it's utter tripe.

Love how people like living in their own fantasy bubble.

1. He can earn more at United.
2. He will get a bit of a break from the persistent tax and transfer investigation issues he has been facing in Spain.
3. He will leave the shadows of Lionel Messi and be the king in his own pond.
4. He might want a whole new challenge.

Let's quit with the Neymar discussion, it's pointless. Today will be a day for good tweets. The football gods are working their magic.

Anyone know if Jose is back at the club? Or he still on vacation?

This is from my indirect source I can't mention here because it is not yet in the media. United is in 3rd level discussions with Lionel Messi AND....wait for this....Cristiano Ronaldo! Apparently, the plan is to start next season with a strike force of Ronnie, Messi, and Morata. What a lot of people don't know is that the Griezmann deal has been sealed and Antoine will be coming in. Also, Zlatan's contract will be renewed in January. United's bench might be having super stars like Zlatan and Antoinne next season. My unnamed source says Adidas is funding this moves and that the news will break in the next few days. The downside to all these is Martial. My source says Jose is once again giving his number 11 shirt to Morata and this is really pissing Martial off. He is now considering a move to Monaco to replace Mbappe who is heading surprisingly to Barcelona to replace Messi.

Seems legit. Though no mention of Rooney's new 500k per week contract makes me doubt you sightly.

All that is missing is a 'BOOM!'

I always thought we should sign Griezmann and whack him on the bench fair play.

What a laugh this post is. This is real life, not football manager mate

Veratti should have known better before he was signing a new contract. Its tough to deal with those Sheikh and you can't go against them.

Yeah, I don't like this sort of approach but I also believe you can't really hold players hostages despite contracts in modern sports - if they make it clear they want to leave, I think a club has to also consider the wishes of the player while ensuring they receive fair market value. Shouldn't come to this but I also see the perspective of a player dealing with a club who refuse to negotiate because they have limitless funds

Of course, not sure Verratti will achieve much by sitting out as PSG still do not need to sell and would probably happy to let him sit idle for the length of his contract if need be

This line-up would lead to a global financial meltdown, as United would sell so many shirts that the global garment industry would be in danger of collapse and there would be a run on the banks.

For the sake of the Planet I think Jose knows to walk away from that one!

Verratti is an idiot. When he was signing 6 year deals and whatever, he wasn't thinking about what he wants to do in the future.
