Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Seems like this is pretty much done.
Nah, they tweeted that exact same article twice before. Was posted in this thread.

I highly doubt this true now that Milan have bought Andre Silva. Morata wants first team football and there is no other option than us who will pay the transfer price.
Do we really want another Di Maria scenario? I'm not keen on us signing Morata anyway, let alone if he is being forced out of Madrid, doesn't really want to play for us and only comes because there are no other options.

To be fair, his career has been fairly unspectacular. He's definitely a talent, and I've bet on him, and won money on him scoring on more than one occasion for Croatia, but his profile is not that of a €50m forward player. He's spent a large amount of his career at second tier clubs, and a spell at Dortmund where he wasn't really a key player.

I think he's good, but it is not surprising that many think he's not the man to inject attacking quality into the side and take us forward. If it was surprising, so many people wouldn't think it. Martial from his first season is a far better player in my opinion, and I'd like to see that player on the left for us.

Thanks for the feed back. Hopefully Jose has a good reason for the pursuit.

He isn't being forced out. They just want him to carry on as second fiddle and he doesn't want to.

Feels a bit like that doesn't it. Only last week he was saying he wanted to stay and fight for his place.

People seem adamant that Fabinho, Lindelof, Morata and Perisic would be a good window but i don't think that's true.

Morata - sideways move from Ibra at best

Lindelof - sideways move from Rojo at best

Perisic - sidewys move from a Martial, Mkhi or Mata at best. The man has a conversion rate of around 10%!

Fabinho - massive improvement on Carrick

That's only 1 position improved from last season imo, is that really good enough to go from 6th to title challengers? Where are the 30 goals we were lacking last season gonna come from? I know injuries have put a lot of pressure on us to have a big window but i can't help but think on top of these we will need a world class left back and proven goal scoring winger if we want to think about competing for the top prizes.

If Morata makes the same contribution as Zlatan then i will be delighted.
I expect Lindelof to be better than Rojo but if not Rojo will be back and we now have more depth than Jones or Smalling.
Perisic you are under rating and one of Mata Mykytarin or Martial will still play. I would expect Perisic to offer us a new option and i would expect him to be better than any option we had a left wing last season.
Fabinho you have covered.

The one big thing we have missed is continuity of selection Jose likes this and last season that was not possible. Id expect tge starting 11 not to be changing much this season champions league or not league will be Jose's main focus.

Honestly, this a complete joke, how the hell do you know Lindelof is a sideways move?

Morata is more than 10 years Ibra's junior, how is that a sideways move?

Fabinho is a massive improvement on Carrick, I can only assume you mean because of Carricks age, I will let that one ride.

Perisic, okay, I'm actually astounded at how badly he's being received on this forum. He's a great player who application and effort is far greater than Martial and he's easily as skilful as Mkhi and Mata. If he signs I can honestly see so many people holding their hands up on this forum, he's a great player with a fantastic engine. Completely suited to a Jose Mourinho football team.

Well said.

Confirmed, Andre silva at milanello tomorrow medicals with @acMilan

38 million  38 million for a portuguese striker  Portuguese clubs/Jorge Mendes ripping off clubs yet again. Worth 20/25 mil max. I hope Milan gets alot of penalties or else he will be useless

So fair to say you don't rate him at all then?

If folks followed the pogba thread closely, the "48 hours" shtick is used because they have no idea about his arrival date. They kept saying 48 hours for pogba because they had no idea it was going to be announced as he left his holiday.

Pedrosi is a good journo, he was well versed on the pogba deal, but time frames are not his strong suit. I'd imagine this deal is now done and it all about lawyers okaying everything and getting ready for his trip.

Well it's not a matter of not rating him. I just don't think he is worth that fee. He also hasn't shown enough to warrant an european top club move as well. It's not just only my opinion. I had a look at Porto board and they are all very pleased with the deal. He didn't fit their 4-3-3 well either. I'm highly skeptical of portuguese strikers, however despite not impressing me at Porto, he did show some good glimpses in our national team. His understanding with Ronaldo has been excellent. Atm it seems all parties are happy with the deal. But let's see how it goes. My impression is that at the end of next season, Milan will understand the frustration portuguese national team fans have endured in all these years regarding strikers. Porto will be laughing all the way to the bank.

Seriously?
What planet you have been living on these past few years? Valencia have been playing RB for a while now. Same goes for Young covering the fullbacks slot when need arised. mkhi, Martial, Rashford, Mata, Rooney. Its not like they haven't played all those positions before with previous clubs/managers.
Thank you for confirming our suspicion about you.

I see you brought your sarcasm shield to protect you from reality, doesn't matter like it or not those are the players that have been played out of position.

Yes, surely Miki played LWB in the past:lol:

Isnt the game tomorrow evening? Weird time to post that, i would expect a post on the same day

Yeah you're right, thought it was tonight. I still think it's a reference to it though. After all, that's what they are preparing for.

Lindelof, Morata, Fabinho and Moura all under 200 million wouldn't be the worst of the transfer windows.

Alternatively get the Bayern duo for 60-70 million instead of Moura.

You know we're running out of players to be linked with when we start being linked with our own.

BREAKING NEWS: Manchester United target, Wayne Rooney chooses to see his contract through amidst the interest from UTD. :wenger::lol:

Wasn't it reported last week when the news of a deal broke that the medical was today? Not heard it since though.
There were some rumours like those, it's true and it makes sense considering he off to vacation now.

I get the impression Madrid are the kind of club who would suddenly up the price just as you think you have a deal

United: we offer 55 million
Madrid: we want 60
United: okay then 60 million
Madrid: sorry we now want 64 million

Sounds stupid tbh. Why would the selling club give a damn about the buying club?

They do seem like proper cnuts tbh.
