Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Daniel Levy must be a third party owner the dealings SOuthampton have manged over the last several years. I say that as the only real genuine quality transfer was Bale to Spurs. Walcott to Arsenal, Shaw to us, Fonte to West Ham, all of the Liverpool transfers. All decent players but the majority seriously over rated and over priced. Shaw I still have hope for and Llannaa would be quality if he had any pace and could finish but Djik for me is just another good SOuthampton player not worth half the fee being mentioned, dont want and dont think we are interested either.

You can't say Shaw was a good transfer and call the rest overrated. He's been an abysmal transfer and his attitude is clearly gone.

I would take Andre Silva over Morata. Strong Mourinho type #9, Portuguese, wants to take himself to the next level and prove himself as opposed to someone with a dodgy goal-scoring record who has very clearly said he doesn't want to leave. Shades of Di Maria/Keylor/James, I doubt Morata's motivation will be sky-high.

Koulibaly over Lindelof/Keane. 6"5 and a very good passer from the back. No compromise on height if Smalling is sold (which I'm against). Has worked with a very tactically-intelligent coach (Sarri). Only downside is that he's off to Africa every two Januaries.

Fabinho over everyone.

That would be both 1st choice cbs going though no way that's sustainable

You know what will happen Andre silva will go somewhere like Dortmund or athletico for 20 million then will be linked with him in a couple of years for 80 plus million. Don't get why the club can't see this.

Because top clubs can't take chances on players anymore. People lose their job when that happens. I don't see why that's hard to comprehend. He won't develop here the same way he'd develop on other teams

in no way shape or form did moyes get a trophy, it was never said that he did and it will never be said that he did. We never counted it as a trophy when saf won it. Not sure why people are saying we won 3 when its really just 2. . Jose Mourinho is the first manager to win a trophy in his first year as a manager at United because he won the League cup first not the COC

I dont see your point lad

What ? Why ?

I don't know why but a few weeks ago one of Lequipe journalist said that Puel expected to be fired. He has been reportedly talking to the ASSE since.

To be fair Southampton have been dismal since the final, pretty sure they didn't score at home for over 5 games at the end of the season. I'm surprised they didn't seriously consider Marco Silva before he took over at Watford.

While I agree, Napoli just on a spate of contract renewals of all their big players and Koulibaly signed a 5 year deal earlier this year. So absolute zero chance.

Are athletico and Dortmund not top clubs?? Seriously. By top clubs you think Madrid, Barca, Bayern, Juve. We're defiantly not in that category performance wise for at least the last 3 years. Athletico are better then us let's be honest. Also Juve always take a chance on young promising players. Hasn't done them any harm has it. There linked with schick at the moment which is another top prospect.

When we signed Rooney and ronaldo they were promising youngsters that turned out okay didn't it?

Don't know what your on mate but your lost. You need to take a good look at we're we are

Barely means anything these days.

I didnt, I listed him with all the others but said I still have hope for him

He's saying Inter is planning to keep Perisic despite United 40m offer, Inter asked for 55-60m.

Surely we can get Costa for cheaper? He seems a much better winger.

Feck Perisic at this stage, other and better targets around and on plus, Inter are demanding insane money for a 29 year old.

Inter can get fecked. We need to make moves for other wingers, Costa and Bernardeschi wont stay long in the market

Which other players would they sell and is this just bluster given the pretty high fee offered? Is this one we'll have a stand off about for a while before they finally back down and we pick him up for peanuts late in the window?
