Transfer Tweets - Summer 2015 | Stop Spamming - Discussion Should Relate to Tweets

So he's not actually spoken out about the Manchester United speculation at all. He's only commented on crazy transfer fees.

"No one is worth €100m, it's just a trade figure, so I am quite relaxed about the whole thing."

Pretty sure he's talking about himself here.

I don't agree that posters see it as a competition to break news via tweets. I certainly don't. I post tweets when I have spare time. Also I like the drama of the transfer window and trying to figure out what's BS and what's not. It's part of the fun and what keeps me sane when footy has left us during July. I suspect that's the case of most who spend a lot time here. I also find it strange how people shoot down people who post tweets yet moan when there's 2 pages of discussion with no tweets. I've certainly had fun decoding tweets and articles this summer.

I think your point is entirely fair, but maybe switch what keeps me sane to what keeps my psychopathology within reasonably normal limits. That would, at least, better capture it for those who do spend a lot of time here. ;)

Pedro is a better wide forward than Mata, so yes I do rate him higher. As for the rest, isn't it strange that when we beat PSG and Liverpool to Memphis at the last minute everyone said they were lying when they denied they were that interested, yet here when clearly the same thing happened to us you're willing to believe it? As far as fully supporting the club goes, I don't know what that has to do with having an opinion, support doesn't mean towing the company line.

It's not a question of towing the company line, it's a question of criticising without having the facts - what we think of other clubs or what fans of other clubs think of us - who cares ?
In the corporate football world it's different image wise. People believe what the media want them to believe, unless you can rationally think for yourself - just follow the sheep

"No-one is worth €100 million. United can lower their bid and still get me."

Is what Müller really meant.

There are two RI forums, one paid for (the one that tweets) and one not.

Been a member for years, if anything they've been incredibly reliable over the last two in particular. I've made about £70 in being on transfers that place has broke before many others (most notably shaw last year).

They have a link (sounds an extremely close one) with a particularly unpopular 'super agent' so that gets info on other managers/players also.

Well, if you went on it you'd know that's just not true. They had some very interesting info on the pedro thing a few days ago, and if what they are now saying is true (what they are alluding to) then it puts ed in an extremely bad light...extremely.

And no, I'm not saying. Is only 10 quid so sign up and find out. Would put a lot of the bull that's been written in this thread to Shame.

Um, i take it you quoted me by mistake?

Is he relaxed because the bid is more than enough to have his dream move to United? Or is he relaxed because it's not enough to persuade Bayern to sell (in which case he need not be stressed as they have no intention to sell)?

Only because of the headline. Ignore that bit of editorialising and it's simply a comment about how nobody (including himself) is worth €100m.

It's completely reasonable to assume he was asked about the apparent bid from us. To which he replied nobody is worth that much, and the fact that he is relaxed with regards to the situation. I'm sure the general increase is the market value of a player isn't giving him nightmares and causing stress.

I can't make out the quote myself. Why wouldn't he say I'm staying no matter what the bid is?

@ForlansHair is probably the owner of RedIssue...

:D think I'd be banned on here by now if that was the case..

It is, and the section it'll most likely be in is one you have to pay to view. Please don't post those sort of tweets again

I won't do if they're not allowed. Out of interest, what's the difference between their tweets and say The Times or The Sun where you have to pay to read their stuff as well?

The Sun is a newspaper and has proper journos that seemed like a forum to me?

First two are newspapers which generally have a bit you can preview and say what the article is about. RI is a forum where you have to pay to read even just a bit of the stuff.

With the first two, people can read the articles and say a summary on here... with RI, nobody is apparently allowed to reveal anything that is said on there.

True, but anything they feed to these people has an agenda behind it and we don't know what that agenda is. Is he trying to just get his player a raise, is he trying to get him transferred to a specific club or is he just a mercenary looking for a commission? Everything is situational so it's really hard to know why people do what they do and unraveling, as you put it, all of this is really just a guess or a way to confirm ones bias don't you think?

(And since I only get a few posts, I will also use this one to thank you for the work you have done this year on the tweets. Well done Stretch!).

Ta mate. But yes you have a point. Everyone always has an angle. I think a lot of the fun lies in everyone confirming their bias through crazy theories

Spot on.

So why not to tell now what was happening when it is all over? It would be a great comercial, something they want badly given their Twitter posts.

Every year on this forum someone speak how much inside info they have and basically advertising RI without any real inside information...

Are there any examples of past transfers they've called right ahead of everyone else?

Players costs are amortized over the length of their contracts. The entire 150m (If that is how much they spend this season) won't go into the accounts, only a part of it, based on how they amortize the costs.

I haven't seen City's financial statements in a while, so don't know if they are still spending more than they are earning. Though, even if we consider the wages spend of around 200m, plus the amortized costs and other operating expenses: they should be fine, imo.

@BobbyManc or @Manchester Dan are may be more in tune with their current financial situation and explain it better.
Well the chairman spoke in his end of season interview and said we've hit profit in the 14/15 season, do you can expect slightly more profit in the 15/16 season given our steady growth. That profit should cover the amortisation of £30m per year easily enough, especially when you add into the mix the sale of Negredo. We've also let Dzeko, Milner, and Jovetic leave the wage bill - which is likely a hefty chunk of wages to begin to cover the arrivals. I'm not worried about the finances at all, and it's been said directly from our management team that FFP restrictions are a thing of the past for this club.

And the reveal always happens after the event of the reveal itself!

There should be paid subforum on here as well, where the most creative of us can concoct stories. The twitter savvy can advertise these stories on twitter on a commission payout basis.

@Niall is seriously missing a trick here.
