@Dracula so what are lads on RI suggesting?

Here's some exclusives, from my source*: There's a chance we're going to sign either a GK, defender, midfielder or a forward in the next 12 days. However, if we don't sign either a GK, defender, midfielder or forward, there's a massive, massive chance we won't sign any body. My source also says we'll spend upwards of £0.01.

Watch this space.

*the source may or may not be real.

Mike Keegan is that you?

I've heard from a very reliable source that we might sign someone and we might not. Dont let this information leave this forum, though.

It's not a question of towing the company line, it's a question of criticising without having the facts - what we think of other clubs or what fans of other clubs think of us - who cares ?
In the corporate football world it's different image wise. People believe what the media want them to believe, unless you can rationally think for yourself - just follow the sheep

Following the sheep is believing that when it happens to other clubs they are lying when they say they were never interested, but when it comes to your own buying the story that LvG pulled the plug instead of just accepting we got done in the same way we did PSG and Liverpool, that's thinking for yourself.

If I remember rightly, Red Issue claimed after Moyes was sacked that Mourinho was desperate for United to take him (he'd already been at Chelsea a year at this point) so much so that he was acting up in the media to try get Abramovic to sack him. The whole convoluted tale they told was absurd to be honest and of course not a single journo or news outlet managed to get hold of this exclusive info that RI had got their hands on.

This is one of the tweets from the time. I tend not to believe their itk-ness on this basis.

I just wanted to ask why is RI again in the twitter transfer tweets. Ofcourse they don't know anything, it is nice collecting 10 pounds/pearson for bullshiting...

They must be needing to make their paid subscription targets

So why not to tell now what was happening when it is all over? It would be a great comercial, something they want badly given their Twitter posts.

Every year on this forum someone speak how much inside info they have and basically advertising RI without any real inside information...
Isn't it obvious?

If i tell people on a free forum what RI has said (and at this point i should point out I'm talking about the paid for firm, not the main one which isn't the same thing) then why would anyone pay the £10? They'd just wait for me to say it.

It's not some major conspiracy, there are people on there who work for utd and associated companies in the industry. They are happy to share information that if it was on a public forum it may get back to them and would get them the sack.

Its only a tenner a year for gods sake, have a look for yourself!

Well noone will wait for one year to see what happened back then. Hell noone would wait one day, if RI would posted something really interesting about what happened with Pedro deal, how things had developed, something that would showed they have really some sources they would get hundreds of new members in a second.

Problem is probably that those info's are not worth a "tenner".

If people wanted to read bullshit on a forum, we'd have a twitter thread dedicated to it... Oh, wait.

Regarding RI, its telling that those who have actually spent some time on there will vouch for their reliability yet those who haven't doubt it on the basis that those who paid for access refuse to share that access for free.

There were few posters who said already that it is not worth the money...

Interesting read even though it adds nothing to what we already know.

The club though shouldn't be too confused as to why some are not happy with this window, it's obviously clearly a bad idea to get all the good news in before all the bad news. If we had done things in reverse and in the last 2-3 weeks just signed Depay, Schneiderlin, Schweinstegier, Darmian, having got over the disappointment of ADM, Pedro, Otamendi, and Ramos back in July then Woodward would now be king, the problem is we have had too much bad news in short space of time, and a lot of people have short memories.

Yeh I get why you or they wouldn't tell us ongoing sagas cause then no one would sign up but what about evidence they called something that happened last year?

If they had a track record they could show that they called Di Maria, Mata etc. then I'd be inclined to pay £10 to be in the current loop..

If RI unloaded a load of evidence of calling past transfers before the papers/beeb or calling other issues that took their time to find the headlines then they'd get a mass of subscribers instantly. If they could do that, they would.

If they can't do that, well that says it all doesn't it?

This.

No can do amigo. They have people who check all these forums to see if anyone is leaking stuff. Then they track and ban them.

But even if they were saying Messi will sign (they aren't) everyone in the World will know in 12 days anyway. I've taken turds which have lasted longer than that.

Then all you have to do is PM someone else and they'll post the info.

I'm guessing the guy was being sarcy/funny in some way.

as how on earth would Red Issue be able to link their members to completely random usernames on a host of different forums.

they're a bunch of kids, not M15

Yes you are right. Appeasing idiots is much more important than preparing a team.

That doesn't necessarily call into question the reliability of their information though just that some people may have found said information not particularly interesting or not quite what they were expecting.

Hardly clickbait for the BBC.

They don't gain anything from clicks and ad revenue.
They're not the only ones doing it, so it was a general point.

Also, there has to be some point to them not typing out the name in the tweet itself. Even if the BBC is funded by the tax payers, surely the amount of funding has to be in some way dependent on the amount of traffic/viewers they generate.
