Well it was reported at the end of last season we were interested in Clyne and nothing ever materialised and we moved on to other targets and thankfully bought Darmian. Pedro rumours started weeks ago, with a deal all done and dusted with the player - we just need to sort a deal with his club.

22m for pedro is a steal and a half considering we made 44m of the player he's coming in to replace. If lvg doesn't want him or we haggled for to long then we have no one to blame but ourselves. We may have other targets but lets see.

If true, this whole saga is quite incredible. Seemingly, van Gaal has lost patience trying to haggle a deal with Barcelona, even though they were quite clear about the price they were willing to accept from the beginning. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are doing the same thing to us for De Gea and van Gaal is losing patience with them for employing the very same negotiation tactics. The hypocrisy and stupidity of that is unreal.
Hopefully this maybe means we have an alternative who we are confident of signing. I seriously can't see it though.
