Yeah good deal that. Hate it when teams that are already swimming in oil money make good deals or bargains on the market. Overall they are still overpaying though and I believe have the highest wages now.
With FFP circumnvented, they can afford too..sadly we too will have to spend to match them..but anyhow..lets not derail the thread

the interest was expressed in April to his agent and later was used as a condicional in De Gea talks.
What mess with Ramos? We simply expressed an interest in the player..we didnt do anything wrong..

IMO, Ballbag is right about DDG. Madrid haven't given up on signing him this summer. They'll be a storm in the final days of the transfer window. 25 mil EUR + Keylor.

But legally the fact that Mendes has financial interest in Peter Lim's business dealing at Valencia is enoough to constitute a conflict of interest..especially as I have explained, when it is in the best interest of Otamendi to leave for a lower fee

His business with Lim has nothing to do with Valencia, Lim created a branding agency with Mendes, iirc.

But that is just a way to show how much United valued Ramos..that they were willing to give up their highly prized keeper for him...that is more flattering to Ramos I presume and doesnt really break any rules..
,a team can't talk to an agent to agree wages if he has a contract with another club, although everybody does it.Ramos gamble would have been good if both players end contract in June 2016 but wasn't the case, besides René is not the right person to trust

Are they giving Everton 30 million in different forms, cash first time, then a cheque, now rejected again in chocolate coins? I swear they've bid the same amount every time.

That's one of the thing I love about Football and Rugby everyone knows that it's totally illegal but no one cares, they even admit it on records.

Laporte would possibly be worth that much for the fact that he fits the Van Gaal philosophy and is so young.
Yes, i'd rather this than shoehorning players into positions they don't normally play. I don't see it happening this year though.

Laporte would be the best signing for us.

Maybe next year? Though I'm sure Barca would be in for him at that stage.

It was during Salvo's search, conducted together with the new marketing manager Louis Dowens, who has connections with Mendes, that they discovered that Peter Lim was interested in linking up with a Spanish league club.

Source Marca..so he was a part intermediary in the purchase of Valencia..Nothing to do with Valencia..I disagree..but lets agree to disagree

how good is he actually is?

Genuine quiestion here. And would he fit the league and Van Gaal's ideas?

He has truly great reflexes, he is probably the fastest goalkeeper around and he is good on the ball. I'm not sure about his aerial abilities, I feel that he lacks power someone like Carroll could exploit that, but he is very dynamic.

Yes..but that has to be proven in front of a court..United are technically innocent until proven guilty..Just like Madrid are with regards to DDG in that there is no evidence that they have had contact with him before his deal is concluded..and seeing as Madrid didnt raise a complaint with FIFA, they too believe that nothing worth reporting occured.

Yes, he was. Mendes is a consultant and negotiator, if I'm not mistaken his only personal clients are Mourinho and Ronaldo.

Did i just read Real Madrid fan complaining about tapping up? Mind blown.

Nobody reports that because in almost every transfer happens. It would be strange to offer money for a player if you don't know if he wants to join.

Very good reflexes, some incredible saves but he doesn't catch the ball too often

Sounds like City's Otamendi deal was screwed up by Mangala refusing to go to Valencia, tehe.

Would much rather pay £35m for Laporte or Stones than Otamendi, even if they're a bigger risk, just because of the age gaps and the potential there.

Ballbag is really deluded if he thinks De Gea would be a last minute sale. Unless Real both up the money and include Navas, assuming Van Gaal even rates him and he's willing to come. Unless we sign a new keeper in the next week or so, I think we can pretty much guarentee De Gea will be staying.

He's a Mendes client now and supposedly they don't do business with him. Someone said he has just signed to Adidas as well.

Mendes bought a part of Laporte rights, but I don't think he is his agent.

No,for me is fine,I just want to emphasize that all the clubs do it,not only Madrid. The transfer can be seen like "Madrid is stealing our players" but also "United try to convince our captain"

From the sounds of it, Stones will cost pretty much the same as Laporte. Who do we think is better then?

Nicolas Gaitan has to be the Internet's greatest hoax. The name is an anagram for "nil action saga"

Coincidence? I think not.

Really??? Don't know where you've been getting your info from, but I'm seeing a very promising acquisition here.

Will be interesting to what levels Chelski go for Stones ?

35 million? 40?

They'll have too if they want him. I seem to remember a year ago Mourinho being quite critical of the amount we paid for Shaw, saying paying that much would have killed the spirit in their dressing room or something along those lines.

Ironic now that they're going to need to pay more for someone just a year older.

Everton must have been rubbing their hands with glee hearing Maureen cite Terry's lack of pace as the reason for bringing him off on Sunday. They're going to squeeze every penny they can get out of this one.

Thats my point, its so normal that United didnt really do anything wrong..so there was no mess with Ramos

There is an agreement: City pay 45m for Otamendi.

Not sure but I'd imagine it was in instalments and targets that could be the problem. Perhaps £30m is acceptable but not in the structure they are paying it. Maybe Everton want the £30m in one payment.
