Stoichkov was a great footballer - the best in our country's history, but he's an utter prick and a fecking hillbilly. No class whatsoever. He's just using every opportunity to critisize Van Gaal.

Sky saying we aren't interested in Biglia and we're instead focusing on the De Gea situation and our attacking options.

obviously

because everyone except @Empire realises how nonsensical it would be to buy another midfielder all things considered.

Agent just drumming up interest.

When he signs a new contract I'm looking forward to those saying we were played and used to get a new deal.

feck me I thought that was BBC confirming it! Just the gossip page.

Holding midfielder*

I'm not saying we shouldn't buy players for other positions, I'm saying we have enough money and are not limited to negotiating one transfer at a time therefore we should get whatever the manager wants.

Don't jump to conclusions I rate the system, its you that doesn't seem to rate Herrera as an 8 (or you believe LVG is justified in not doing so), even though that is where he spent the majority of last season playing, and he was one of our better players. I think Herrera would also make a good 10 too.
This Biglia nonsense, its nonsense IMO. CB and two pacey attackers required.

I thought you were quite critical of his opinion to exclude Herrera, personally I prefer a manager to adapt to his players but I respect the manager's methods and expect him to do things as best as he can, if a quality player like Herrera suffers then so be it, if he hits his objectives then it's not too important what players are excluded.

I do rate Herrera as an 8, I have actually said many times before Herrera is one of our best players but the manager will put his system above any one player, he likes four defensive (CB, CB, holding cm, holding cm) and then more of a shadow striker ahead so i'm not surprised this is exactly what he's trying right now.

I have also said stop using last season as a measure of what he will do this season, as an example Fellaini was very important to his methods but that is uncharacteristic of Louis van Gaal, it seems his adaptions last year were due to his selection, now he can play his creative player further ahead like he prefers and he can have the physical presence provided from behind.

You want a seventh centre back and as of now fifth striker? (Assuming Januzaj is striker as the manager said, if he goes on loan that's still a fourth striker).

And by the way if you rate the system then you accept Schneiderlin is more his profile for 8 and Depay for 10, you can see why Herrera has suffered despite obviously being an amazing talent.

It doesn't really say that, as far as I can see.

Also::confused:
The second one is their gossip page where they just stick crap from all the various sites and papers, the first one is an actual BBC story so there's probably something in it.

Ermmm I was talking about the fact that we have zero need for Biglia since Herrera can provide cover for both the 8 & 10 positions...

I don't want a 7th CB, Evans needs to be shown the door. Wilson needs to go on loan, and we should sell Hernandez. I'm unsure about Januzaj, think a loan would be good for him too tbh

You missed what I said, if he doesn't fit the profile of a defensive player then the manager should buy a specialist, he knows what he expects from that position.

Herrera might be given the chance to make number 10 his own, not used as a utility player, he will need to adapt his game for that number 10 position, being cover for a defensive position will hinder that.

If the manager sees Herrera as a utility player then fair enough, it's his call. I don't even know if Biglia fits the profile, only the manager and his staff know that, but if Louis goes in for another central midfielder because he feels nobody could effectively perform Schneiderlin's role if he got injured then there is nothing wrong with that, he's just building the squad he wants.

Hope it's not to us. As much of a chance to turn out a one season wonder as Harry Kane.
Agreed, we'd only get him for his release clause and that's far too much only to take a punt on someone who's only had one outstanding season.
