I don't believe we would get £15mil for Van Persie, we practically give away our players. £15mil sounds too good to be true.

Just putting this here, to remove any doubt, as it may not get the airing it deserves:

I used to be a journalist and know a few guys from Uni who've gone on to be football writers. I can confirm 100% that both those papers don't even bother to try and find legit sources. They literally call up the journo up, tell them which club or player they'd like a story on (usually, it's one of the big clubs) and roughly how many words they need, and that's the whole process right there.

Given their respective records I think we all knew that anyway. You'd think they'd call a few more right just by pure chance than they actually manage to do.

It's probably him making us pay for not signing Falcao.

He's a powerful man in football, but I don't believe that the players he represents are pawns he can move around as he pleases. At least not the ones at the top level.

Erm why was that Van Persie story posted again? It was posted yesterday evening as well, followed by this tweet:

Maybe he means as he is moving Falcao on and DDG looks like going, he could have done us a favour with Laporte, then he has signed a new contract with an even higher clause in it. That the lower contract might have helped us. He does owe us.

Me and iBoss are seeing this from two different angles.

As expected, confirmation that manager Jorge Jesus has left Benfica and joined their fierce rivals Sporting Lisbon.

Marca: Atletico or nothing. Filipe Luis would only leave Chelsea for an Atletico return.
