Yeah maybe. I just thought the pace of Walcott and Sanchez either side of Benzema is more like what he's used to at Madrid.

You have to assume we're interested, we could pay a higher fee and higher wages but Benz simply prefers arsenal. Unless LVG really doesn't want to have to drop rooney
Another factor to consider is Real being reluctant to sell Benzema to us because we're playing hardball on De Gea.
The question is, even if Perez was mad enough to sell Benzema, why wouldn't all those clubs with more money than Arsenal simply outbid them?Why would Real sell Benzema?
We play hardball with De Gea so they'll accept less money from Arsenal, makes perfect sense.
But that could work to our advantage if we told them we'd make the de Gea deal easy if they let us have Benzema. Not going to happen though, I doubt we're in for a striker and Madrid aren't going to sell their only striker.
It's not really about the time, more the fact that some of the issues we have to solve are self-inflicted, as a result of decisions made by LVG/the club, which they would have known about last season. Terrible management that we are still going into the season with goalkeeping situation unresolved and looking light upfront after releasing two strikers. Awful.
