No it's not though is it as the debate was about whether the commentator was guessing or not. The validity of his information that he had been provided with is a different matter...
I question both since we have no idea who his sources are. If they are crap sources then he is just being a twat and is BS. Let's debate the rumour not the tiny detail of the word guessing. For all we know he has no sources

I wouldn't be surprise if all these tweets are utter bull shit . don't be surprised if we we pull a signing out of leftfield

We have so much money in the accounts right now and so much freed up in wages (£50m/season) that I could easily see us going huge on two of Pedro, Kane, Gotze, Bale etc.

I agree man, but f*ck signing Gotze - Predro all day everyday for me & hopefully that's in the bag too..

Bale or Kane would be a surreal summer for us, but mission impossible imo. A CB is a major priority too though & i hope we go all out for Stones - he's a future world-class player & he has the right character to play for us, for 10-15 years too.

Spend what it takes to get him (£30m-£35m + Evans, if they want him), because the years of excellent service we'll get from him, will far out-way what we pay now.

F*ck it - i'd be sound with us spending £40m on him, if that's what it takes. Aint my money afterall, so i couldnt give a shite tbh..

Varane and Stones are my 2 favourite young defenders. They both have phenomenal upside with experience.

Add 22 for Pedro and we are at 35m.

Basically, we can afford anyone at this point. Woody probably wants to top his three player splurge from last month with an even bigger and pricier three player splurge, so we're holding off until we can announce all three in one go.

Woody definitely wants a marquee signing, in addition to Pedro and any potential CB.

What's the deal here? Has he got a release clause, or not?
I've heard it's a gentleman's agreement between Pedro & the club. If someone comes in with a €30mil bid then Barca will accept it and let him leave (apparently)

Supposedly the actual release clause is massive. But like you said they may be open to negotiations.

It's not the same as dealing with Bilbao.

The release clause was €130m (or something similar) however he had an agreement with Barca that it would be reduced to €30m if he didn't play in 60% of the games.

I thought that was after he signed a new contract, which was early this summer.
Also, what happens if he plays in all the matches as a substitute? Does that count as appearances too?

£35m and Hernandez
Considering West Ham are reportedly offering £12m for Hernandez, it'd be more like £20m + Chico. Swap deals rarely happen though and I don't think he's worth anywhere near £40m at the moment. For all we know, he could end up just another Andy Carroll.

Although he'll turn out better than Carrol imo the risk is still high considering it was his first season.
I'd have him here though, young English forward would be good for the club.
£28m + Chich

Barcelona miss out on Gerson, he'll join Roma in January.

Fluminense president Siemsen, speaking at a press conference, said: “Gerson is a Roma player. The player will remain with us until December and in January he will join Roma.”

M'Vila has been shit even since leaving Rennes. He didn't really develop his talent, in my opinion, and his move to Rubin Kazan didn't do him any favours.

It's a shit signing for Sunderland, to be fair.

Seems like Salah has completed his move to Roma. Great signing for the club and with Dzeko coming as well, they could challenge Juventus this season. Hopefully Strootman overcomes his injuries.

Why is it that so many places (papers, websites, Skysport News etc), are saying that we payed £30m for Depay?

And, wasn't the final price for di Maria £47.4m (inc.£3m for tapping up our player)?
