Yup. It's not he wants to leave United, he wants to move to Real. And I don't buy the girlfriend/family rumors either. He wants to be Spain's no. 1 and it's obvious that his chances to do that will be better if he plays for Madrid. He's hardly got a look in the national setup despite being one of the top 3 goalkeepers in the world for the last three seasons. He's have seen Herrera and Mata not getting chances and must be wondering whether playing in England may be one of the reasons.

Don't think the girlfriend family thing is completely bullshit, but he definitely has a big say in where he wants to go for whatever reason. If people think he is only moving because of edurnity's wish, then they are being naive. Anyway I am sure this has been discussed multiple times in the relevant threads.

You surely realise yourself that would be ridiculous, looking at the respective contracts, ages, and perceived unhappiness, then the only fair thing would be a straight swap, or at worst a small fee from ourselves, a 65 million euro fee plus DDG would be simply insane, as I'm sure you know.

Anyway as it stands we are looking at Otamendi + DDG (for one more year), or Cillessen + Ramos, from a fan point of view the former is by far the most attractive option, especially when you factor in the uncertainty it will add over DDG having a change of heart during the season to come.
What I am sure is that Madrid is not going to sell Ramos so cheap after what happened with Casillas. If United doesn't pay then maybe Sergio will have to learn french

Wish they came in for a player we want to sell, Spurs. Just so that ed can (hopefully) murder levy

Ah but he only wants United don't you know.... I see a transfer request coming. :)

Us having no intention to sell Hernandez is interesting, if true. If that stance continues, I can't see us signing another striker, unless we send Wilson out on loan and Chicha agrees to be third choice, which I can't really see happening.

In Spain it is not transfer request(in the official meaning that has in Uk).He could start a revolt but is the captain and won't do it.Madrid can keep the same attitude than United,World record fee for a CB or nothing! ,in any case as I said if he wants to leave he can go,I don't want slaves ;)

Yeah but you said for 90 million euros which made me laugh tbh.

The fact remains that DDG will be worth more to us here for one more season than having Ramos imo, the whole potential deal just leaves me cold now.

Let's be realistic.

If reports are true and Ramos wants to leave then Perez has a dilemma. If RM don't sell for a reasonable price he will end up with an unhappy captain and probably no new GK. Do you think that's a good strategy for a club who wants to compete with a refreshed Barcelona, who btw ATM looks twice as good as your club. No disrespect.

A fair price for Sergio Ramos is probably DDG + €10-20m, otherwise both stay where they are and United probably buy Otamendi. Don't you think?

Yep, possibly. I'm now not expecting us to sign a centre half until we know for sure Ramos won't be coming. Think there's a possibility a deal might be sorted out such as that you've mentioned, with us then making a late dash for Cillessen.

Wouldn't be surprised if we're still talking about this one in a months time either.

Madrid makes many decisions based in surveys among associates and they don't want to pay too much for De Gea.Maybe Navas is not so good but is not crap either. To lose Iker and Ramos the same summer for problems with Florentino would leave the president in a very difficult situation.Surely he would sell him but I think that he can't afford.Besides,Madrid would win a top GK in the fight versus Barcelona but would lose a top CB.Honestly I don't see in the market a replacement of his level

Marca writes today that Florentino will meet with Ramos after Australia tour.If the press confirms that is not a problem of money then I guess that fans will ask for the exit.At least I don't want unhappy players.Anyway if that happens I'd like 2 different transfers,25m€ or free next year(De Gea) and 90 m€ for Ramos. In the beginning would be hard because is spaniard but soon people would realize that he will be 30 while we are getting a crazy amount of money.

United did show this year that they will not pay more than their own valuation. I am not sure how much they value Ramos, 40-45m euros.

I could see United accept 25m euros for de Gea if Real accepts 40m euros for Ramos (I would really be pissed if this happens, but who cares), but nothing else really.

Would Madrid consider Otamendi themselves? I also heard Garay's name mentioned?

And that my friend is why we are willing to keep De Gea for one more year:)

I heard Bonucci,Benatia,Mustafi and Garay.I think that Otamendi has a deal with United.Garay was in the club years ago,I didn't follow his career too much but I doubt that he is good enough to replace Sergio

Benitez isn't known for his positive approach so I expect more unhappy players before this season starts. Maybe the possibility of losing Ramos isn't your biggest problem ATM?

That is inevitable in Madrid. Dressing room problems, mini crisis and the press exaggerating everything. Apparently the next problem is that Cristiano feels slightly undervalued compared to Bale. Relaño , the director of As already wrote about it. http://as.com/diarioas/2015/07/18/english/1437222339_992176.html
