I think we'll sell Di Maria tbh. Pedro isn't going to be swapping Barca's bench, for ours, so IMO if the rumours are to be believing in that Pedro is signing, then he's been promised game time.
Sure Di Maria could go, but United won't be taking a loss after one year. He's still one of the top players in the world, and am I right in thinking he's an Adidas sponsored athlete? I think it has to make business sense more than football sense on this occasion.

I think that Di Maria is gone.60 is a very good price after last season and a very small loss of money.Maybe he got some assists but was still mediocre for one of the most expensive players in history, I can't see him doing suddenly a wonderful season. For that money United can buy someone who really wants to play for the club

I think the chance of AdM going to Bayern and Müller coming our way is much bigger than AdM going to PSG.

At €60m is a loss of around £17m(€24m)

He costed 75m€,15m€ considering only the transfer.I can't see any club paying the same or more. Some transfers are good and others are bad. It's very difficult to get benefits in all of them.

I did not watch the game:confused: but my sister tells me some news about Ronaldo telling off Bale for something. I assume one of the two guys?

we have been linked with bale for almost two years. signing him won't be a surprise to me, lol

Time for a tweet:

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola says he has no intention of selling Mario Gotze.

Yes but in the books is showing at £59.7m. Euro exchange rate has changed - is now 1.44 so to recoup the £59.7m it would be €86m

ah ok,you are right, the euro is very bad lately. An advantage to buy but a problem to sell

Isn't this Tom Coast guy the same one who said this time last week Di Maria to PSG would be done the following day?

I think LVG is in two minds to be honest. I don't think we'll sell him though. I think for United to sell to PSG, we should ask for more then we paid because we're not despite to sell. Di maria would be worth more to PSG's profile then ours so anything less then 80Million and they can bugger off. FTP has been relaxed, they can pay the money or zip it. I can see him having a good season, simply because the magnifying glass won't be on Di Maria. With an improved midfield, he'll be supported higher up the pitch and if we can get him confident then we could see a change. Last two seasons, we've had to do so much work to get back into any kind of a shape that it would be difficult for most players to find the confidence on the ball

And what about his family?I have read that they were looking forward to go to Spain or another destination and sounded more serious that Edurne wishes for David. What exactly wants Van Gaal,to play him in the middle as the last season in Madrid or up on the right?

I agree, let's cut our losses early and sell him and get someone who is up for playing for MUFC, I don't think he is.

Sporting Lisbon sign Colombia international striker Teofilo Gutierrez on a three-year deal from River Plate.

He isn't going to be sold at that price. We're under no obligation to sell him, despite what the French media seem to say. They're the ones putting all the focus on Di Maria being at PSG next season which is either done solely by the media there or with the encouragement of PSG. With the FFP restrictions being lifted, they can afford to pay us and if they don't, that is their loss and they can look forward to angry PSG fans at the lack of action in the transfermarket.

Actually I think we agreed the deal in euros and most of it wasn't upfront, so the deal become cheaper and cheaper (I think at least). Also, one year is gone, so amortization took 12m from the deal, so in theory if everything is in pounds we need to get 48m pounds to show a zero in the accounts.

It was agreed in Euros but United are a UK company, depends what shows in the accounts as everything would show in Sterling

They can afford but the offers should be based in the performances and not in the investment of the club who bought him. Do you think that United will buy Pedro?if that 's the case maybe they are thinking seriously about selling Ángel

Yes, but they have paid 50m for Luiz :D. Anyway, it's them who for a year now complain how they want him, Blanc said that he wants him and that United is not the only club with money, so what do they expect? They go publicly how they want him and now expect United to accept their offer? Why should United do it? Why didn't they do it in secret? It's like they don't see what is going on with de Gea, were United has almost no bargain power.

Agree, we're under no pressure to sell him. Unless they give us close to our money back, I think they've got no chance.

One word: Luiz. We might buy Pedro, but we'll only sell Di Maria for at least around what we paid for him in £.

If we can find a couple of decent replacements then I think there is no harm in selling him if his heart isn't here. 60 million is still a lot of money and if we get Pedro then we will still have 30 million to sign another attacker or strengthen elsewhere. I think ADM is a good player but imo if an attacking player isn't capable of getting you double digit goals then he is not worth the kind of money we paid for him. He will not have a major impact for a team playing possession football and so we need to cut our losses.

 good ammunition. So I hope that you get the money. The guy was offered to Madrid, his name appeared in Barsa campaign and Mendes is happily talking to PSG.With that money they can buy Pedro and a very good striker or CB

The 45 minutes he gave for City away to Liverpool in the second leg of the Carling Cup semi final is the worst performance I've ever seen, honestly. It was painful to watch, you could see on his face he knew he was having a nightmare of a game. Funnily enough, I always maintained he would become a great defender, just not at City, and it's nice to see him doing well now.

Been a bit of a quiet day on the transfer/tweets front.

Maybe something will leak in the next few days now that Ed is apparently back in Manchester until Thursday/Friday
