He's a GK, and is 24 and has like 10 yrs more, we finished 7th, promised to come back to CL places and we did it, he knows we have money, knows we'll be active again this summer, knows we have a world class manager now, I think that's how we sell it to him. Anyway, hope we're not derailing the thread

Haha derailing indeed. I'm sure the club did try and sell him that and I'm sure thats why he thought about it.

According to the Daily Star? When did he say goodbye then, before he went on holiday? Most people would say goodbye, and no doubt thank you to the staff before going away on their summer break. It means nothing.

(I'm going to clutch on to those straws until the bitter end, well I mean until he inevitably signs a contract extension.)

Marca: Casillas has rejected a move to Valencia as he doesn't want to play for another Spanish club.

Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool all serious contenders for Alexandre Lacazette, according to France Football.

Newcastle, West Ham, Southampton and Stoke City all in contact with André Pierre Gignac's agent. (France Football)

He's well suited for the Premier League, he'd be a big success IMO.

This thread is shite. Football France and Gazetta and that's about it at the moment. I'm looking forward to some proper tweets from proper journalists over the coming weeks.

Don't understand why Liverpool are still being linked to him after their president dissed them so bad.

Radamel Falcao to Chelsea transfer announced in Colombia as almost a fact. http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/...o-chelsea-transfer-announced-in-colombia-as-a

yep, apparently Marca are saying pretty much the same thing:

FALCAO SET FOR BLUES

Radamel Falcao's move to Chelsea will be confirmed imminently, reports Marca.

The Monaco striker has also been attracting interest from the likes of Zenit and Valencia, but has opted to join the Blues instead this summer.

Wanted to see Falcao have a good season next season, but if he joins Chelsea feck that

Falcao will probably bang in a few goals in pre-season for Chelsea and people will go nuts. I'm confident his goal tally won't match his falling over tally for the season.

If Falcao joins Chelsea then I'll take my good luck I wished him back. I am sure he'll be devastated.

The real question is however if the Chelsea fans with their amazing "chants" which are as inventive as their playing style will be able to convincingly copy the Falcao chant.

No, maybe we can focus on signing players who are nearer to their peak, from other parts of Europe [not Iberia and South America]. Odd as that may sound, Chelsea are using that model, and yeah, we can accept that other clubs are bigger, but what's the point then if you're not going to do anything about it. Do you standstill because other clubs are bigger? No. You do something about it.
We always have and always should look to get the best talents. Some stay, some leave. I wouldnt change our strategy because of DDG

You mean the same chant that we copied from Atlectico?

Well I didn't say if they can copy it from us, just if they can actually manage to copy it as they are not used to singing anything than "Chelsea".
We on the other hand always have awesome chants.

Leicester City have signed Christian Fuchs from Schalke 04 on a free. Looks like he wasn't Swansea bound after all.
