I agree Di Maria is more left and agree on Januzaj as well.

He can play left wing, right wing or as a 10 in a midfield three, because Louis van Gaal likes inverted wingers and we have Depay for LW and better options for the 10, I think Louis van Gaal would rather use Angel di Maria on the right wing.

This is quite interesting regarding Delph because i read on a Southampton forum last week, where one of them knows somwone connected with Villa, that Delph was ready to sign for City but he found out that City were buying another top class midfielder so Delph changed his mind at the last minute and did his uturn because he thought he wouldn't get much playing time there. If there is any truth to that, maybe that means City won't be buying a top class midfielder like Pogba etc.

Juve have said today that Pogba is not for sale & i tend to believe them - considering Vidal looks set to join Bayern & they'd be mental to sell both. Plus Pirlo's gone to the States aswell..

Why didn't you tell Sir Alex that when we bought Rio? Would have been great to not get the best English defender of the generation.

What kind of bizarre logic is that, I don't want English because we already have 3 English defenders who we paid a lot of money for without any clear cut results so far and I don't want young because we obviously don't need another young cb who will take his time to develop and I would much rather see the club spend the money on an experienced CB.Stones is perfect for Chelsea because they can give him time but for us to spend upwards of 25 million on another inexperienced cb is sheer madness. Also I have my doubts about Stones, he is massively overrated on this forum

Imagine a world where we could have de Bruyne (if ADM leaves), Lewandoski and Otamendi playing for us next season. Bastian has changed everything. I've turned green and gone full muppet.

That is an even more bizarre logic. You don't want English because we have two young English CBs who have not yet become top class? Would you also not want an Argentine because we have had really average results with them?

I can understand if you don't rate Stones but the other logic of him being English as one of the reasons is strange to say the least. I hope you also realize we have had an excellent record of developing young English talents for over two decades.

I don't want English because the players cost too much , for the same level of player I think it is easier to get a cheaper non English player .

Which top young CB in Europe you could get for less that 25-30 million pounds? Name at least a couple. The likes of Laporte will definitely not go for less than that.

In some ways it's kinda worse than the Sterling affair. At least Sterling let everyone know his intentions very clearly. Delph just seems like a bit of a mercenary turncoat.

oh definitely. it's way worse than sterling... this is about as shameless as it gets. clearly city added several 10's of thousands of pounds to his pay packet per week and he couldn't refuse. none of us probably could, but it still doesn't look good.

I think we basically differ in the rating of the player, Stones for me is not really a top young Cb. I am obviously not a scout but players at his level from the Bundesliga would cost closer to 15 million than 25 million

I can understand you not rating him. Personally feel he will be the best English CB of his generation and we should be all over him considering our history of having a core of top British players.

Stones is being overrated on here compared to our own defenders.

Jones would have been slaughtered black and blue for say some of stones' performances like vs Italy u21 iirc.

Stones certainly has potential but Otemandi is twice the defender Stones is as the moment, no doubt about that.
