I am only guessing , the same as everyone else, but it wouldn't surprise me if LVG said to ADM, play the Copa America, go on holiday, join the tour after your holiday, if you/your family are really unhappy and want to leave, then we'll do the necessary but you are still part of our plans and want you to stay, perhaps?
Perhaps indeed. I'm just saying calling that report BS is premature. I don't think they'll get it done by this weekend if they get him anyway but just 24 hours ago most here shot down any AdM to PSG rumours as pure BS. After yesterday's presser it seems it could very well have legs. We're not sure just how much is in it at this stage though. I'm hoping it will blow over. I really believe he can be a vital part of our season this year now that we have a proper midfield.
Agreed -I believe he'd be ideal with our new reinforced midfield but I don't think PSG can afford ADM, even though they may want him, they're supposed to want Lacazette too. They'll have to unload players (wages) which is where the Cavani issue comes in and they cannot lose money this coming season or they're back in the FFP red zone. If ADM decided to go there to play crap Ligue 1 football every week then my estimation of him will plummet
Yep, I'm hoping we push them hard into the loss making zone if they want AdM which will scare them off. Else, if AdM pushes for the move then we might very well do a 'swop' kind of deal for Cavani. I know the thought of Cavani doesn't inspire but he's actually very much a typical LvG kind of attacker. Hard working and versatile as well as being able to play target man.

Lots of people saying Benteke is much more than a new Carrol, but I don't think the differences are that pronounced. Benteke really isn't that mobile. He'll run the channels sometimes but his movement really isn't that great. You won't see him running in behind much. His footwork is decent but not great and his first touch is average. Liverpool play a tight pass and move game, seems and odd fit. But clearly the most glaring oddity about this is that Benteke's overselling attribute is his power in the air. There's a stat floating about that he won more aerial duals than any other player in the league last season, despite only playing in about 27 or 28 games. And that's total duels, not percentage.

It wasn't meant as a dig at Pool, I'm sure, but it sure looks funny.If the bigger names are Muller, Lewandowski, Lacazette and even Bale then grand. If Cavani is on there I'd have preferred Benteke.

I had basically written these MEN journos off as "inventors", but to be fair they were the first to break the Schneiderlin signing. They might have just spotted those twitter ITKs and got it from them though. I still have a very hard time believing they know anything at all about our plans.
