Great signing for Everton!
I don't think he's good enough for us and I'm gald he's going to a good club, but in a world with David Luiz and Dejan Lovren in it, 8 million for Jonny Evans is a steal!
Those are inflated prices from clubs that were either desperate or inefficient about how they spent their transfer funds. 8m for Evans is a good price, since we usually get less than what other clubs do for similar players. The important bit will be he's off our wage books and we can make way for another defender.
So is Helen as well. Does that mean if they do Thursday Focus next season we will be stuck with David May and Andy Ritchie? Those are inflated prices from clubs that were either desperate or inefficient about how they spent their transfer funds. 8m for Evans is a good price, since we usually get less than what other clubs do for similar players. I never really understood these comments, but it certain carries a lot less meaning when it's like an hour down the motorway.
Well that's just impractical. He'd have to fly down from Canada first to be fair.

We must be close to signing a CB, don't expect us to sell Evans unless we were confident we had a replacement coming in.
''Senior sources at PSG today insisted they will “walk away” should United’s price for Di Maria be too high.''
So he's staying?
21 Depay, 14 Darmian, 14 Bastian fecking Schweinsteiger, 24 Schneiderlin for a total of 73m (prices are including add ons). How much have we made and spent this summer?
In my head I reckon about 80 million spent, 20 million recouped?

8 Evans, 4 RVP, 4 Nani (actually not sure for the last two), 1 Henriquez for a total of 17m.
Net spent: circa 56m.
Yep, that will be awful. If we sell Di Maria and De Gea well and punt on acquiring a striker, we have a good chance of ending with a neutral net spend.

All papers running with it now it seems.
The hell would we accept a low ball bid from a club flush with money, recently relieved of FFP issues, for a world class player one year into his United career?
And then the gall to say, "yeah, and none of our players either. Deal with it, bitch".
In the future, of course.
If Di Maria had any doubts about staying at United, then get rid of him and use the funds to get De Bryune before he signs for City.
As good as De Bryune is, I think if we let ADM go we would be looking to replace him with someone who has pace.
De Bryune is not Di Maria fast, but he is fast enough. Also he is a very intelligent player than a lot of wingers around. Really, really want him at United. As good as De Bryune is, I think if we let ADM go we would be looking to replace him with someone who has pace.
