Wilson didn't seem ready to step in if the need comes. Someone like Remy, who would not mind the bench, will be a decent backup to Rooney. Think if we get Cavani we might see Rooney in the #10 role again, which I will absolutely hate seeing all the talent we have at our disposal now.

He's shown glimpses of what he can bring though man, he just needs more games at this level, but we cant afford to loan him out to get top-level games with havin only him & Rooney at our disposal. Chicharito will be off i reckon (injured or not), so we cant include him - he's not good enough for us anyway.

I'd be pretty chuffed if we got Cavani or Lacazette (The Tape) tbh. It gives us more options if we need it. Reckon we'll play a 4-3-3 formation, so it'll be one Striker & that'll be Rooney. Then we can change it to 2 Strikers when things are goin tits-up.

This area of the field is something most of us havent the foggiest idea on how to sort it out. There just doesnt seem to be that many top-class Strikers around that are available.

Maybe Ibrahimovic? Could be a dressing-room poisoner though..

We shouldn't write Di Maria off just yet, but at the same time if we can get most of our money back and find another wide option (are there any out there?) then it's probably our best time to sell.

I think if ADM truly wanted to leave he'd have said something to that effect when he was in Chile when there was no pressure on him to toe the party line, so to speak.
Besides, if the DDG negotiations are anything to go by, PSG will not be getting him at the price they've reportedly offered... Which would probably buy them ADM's right foot ;)

The Moose is normally pretty accurate in what he tweets, and he does actually seem to have some "inside sources". If Kane would rather stay at Spurs rather than come to United then it can only be for sentimental reasons and, as a footballer, that's pretty naive - he doesn't want to become another Le Tissier.

Lacazette, based only off what I have read about him and youtube vids, would be the ideal signing. Someone from a different league and a young player who won't mind being the Robin to Wayne's batman. Also, he seems good enough to step in and do the job if need be.

It doesn't take much for Mourinho to turn against players. I mean he signed the guy 18 months ago and has now decided he's gash. Chelsea's transfer business is bizarre at times. There was no need for Salah and it's like they only signed him because Liverpool were in for him. Odd.

Wow Sky are taking the piss really, they keep saying according to Sky sources after the news is confirmed elsewhere

I really do think we're doing the right thing with De Gea.. If they're not willing to meet his valuation, then keep him for another year. Hopefully if we continue to get up to strebgth in other areas, he might be tempted to sign a new deal anyway.
