The stats are pointless. For an individual player to influence the results of the team as a whole he either needs to have been playing incredibly well or incredibly badly. We all know Di Maria was neither. Just a bit "meh".

Hernandez wasn't a one season wonder, 12/13 he scored 18 goals some of which were important like Villa and Chelsea with pretty limited appearances.

I'm sure the club have scouted him aplenty & made their own assumptions on him. I'm gettin the feelin that LvG wants a combo of ready to go players & potential also, so i feel he'll want an established striker that he feels he can trust to stick the ball in the back of the net & not someone who has the potential to do that for us.

Maybe i was a little harsh, but i dont think his all-round footballing ability is good enough for United though & he wasnt the same player as he was in his 1st season either & still isnt. He's a poacher & we need much more than someone who needs it fed to him in the 6yd box to make a contribution..
