Cavani would be great as long as PSG don't fleece us too much. As much as everyone seems to hate him on here he's a cracking player and if he was brought in to play as the #9 he'd be brilliant. It's Jackson though so it's probably 2+2 journalism and nothing more.

2 things, I agree, for a reasonable amount, he'd be a great addition but PSG will
- demand way too much - like swap deal with AdM "too much" type money
- I know money isn't our concern but I'd hate to sign another expensive striker if it means Rooney will play in behind the CF...we have actual midfielders for that now

He hasn't been very good lately, but he did report that we were still in for Schneiderlin even before Sky's ''sources'' a couple of days ago.

Most did other than Herbert tbf but yeah he's hit and miss.

To be fair to the guy, he was the first to report RVP to Fener, a few days before everyone else.

But even a broken clock shows the correct time twice per day.

He's a great player though man & would be a success here i feel. It's just that whole boring linkage to him that's done our heads in. He's not worth £40/50m that's for sure..

It's been a long time since he was a great player. Also, he's been pretty poor every single time I've seen him in action (about 15 matches). Saw him live last year and everything from his movement to first touch was horrible. This is exactly the sort of signing I don't want the club to make.

I actually don't mind the Cavani rumours to be honest. In fact he's more of a LvG kind of striker than Lacazette for example. Roo and Cavani with Wilson as back up won't be bad at all.

I'm absolutely buzzing that we've already brought in 4 quality signings and got it done before pre season. However there's every chance our transfer ranglings have all been accomplished meaning there is very little muppetry to behold in the upcoming month and a half, this makes me a little sad.

Maybe he's just unhappy at PSG & that shit f*cks with your form?!

I'd love Benzema, but that's a no-goer. What we do need is though, is a all-out Striker that plays up top & can lead the line (pardon the cliche's). Apart from Fellaini - we're snookered with having that type of player.

I like Cavani & i think he'd be excellent for us tbh. We could alot worse than gettin him..

No thanks. Cavani makes no sense if Rooney is our captain as we won't drop Rooney and it will be stupid to bench Cavani. I would rather a young striker who could jump in when required and will be ready to take over from Rooney in a couple of year's time.

Absolutely no chance we're finished mate. Sure, we're in for Ramos & Otamendi & we need a Striker or 2 also..

Th captain thing is overstated, Rooney is captain because Carrick was injured and LVG had to choose from the available players. Rooney will be in competition with whoever is seen as striker and the better player will play.

Spot on man. LvG pretty much alluded that in a presser last summer, then Carrick got injured & he still talked up Carrick's leadership qualities. It was nailed-on the captaincy was going to Mike..

They could retire or even die, yet Gaitan & Cavani will still be linked with being transferred to United.
