The source is the Guardian but I couldn't find it on their official Twitter nor on Jamie Jackson's.
Would take him.

2 things, I agree, for a reasonable amount, he'd be a great addition but PSG willCavani would be great as long as PSG don't fleece us too much. As much as everyone seems to hate him on here he's a cracking player and if he was brought in to play as the #9 he'd be brilliant. It's Jackson though so it's probably 2+2 journalism and nothing more.

He hasn't been very good lately, but he did report that we were still in for Schneiderlin even before Sky's ''sources'' a couple of days ago.
Noooo, not Cavani. This weekend was so perfect and now it's Monday Morning Blues it seems

He's a great player though man & would be a success here i feel. It's just that whole boring linkage to him that's done our heads in. He's not worth £40/50m that's for sure..
To be fair to the guy, he was the first to report RVP to Fener, a few days before everyone else.
But even a broken clock shows the correct time twice per day.
It's been a long time since he was a great player. Also, he's been pretty poor every single time I've seen him in action (about 15 matches). Saw him live last year and everything from his movement to first touch was horrible. This is exactly the sort of signing I don't want the club to make.

I'm absolutely buzzing that we've already brought in 4 quality signings and got it done before pre season. However there's every chance our transfer ranglings have all been accomplished meaning there is very little muppetry to behold in the upcoming month and a half, this makes me a little sad.
No thanks. Cavani makes no sense if Rooney is our captain as we won't drop Rooney and it will be stupid to bench Cavani. I would rather a young striker who could jump in when required and will be ready to take over from Rooney in a couple of year's time.
I would take Moura plus £20m myself.
Th captain thing is overstated, Rooney is captain because Carrick was injured and LVG had to choose from the available players. Rooney will be in competition with however is seen as striker and the better player will play.
