An ideal situation would be to get Kane on loan with an option to buy, so we can see if he really is all that after one good season. It would cost a shitload of money to bring him here & he could be absolute guff this season.

I dont need to remind anyone how far Chicarito fell from grace, after his one season wonder too..

Sure Gaitan came out ragin at all these continuous rumours every window linkin us with him & said he was gonna get folk to give it a rest. Hasnt done a good job by the looks of it - his agent has been mouthing off 2 or 3 times this last week already about us being interested in signing him..

He will be given the benefit of the doubt unlike other players, but if he constantly underachieves, he will be benched even if it is for Wilson or Fellaini.

He was very poor towards the end of last season yet Wilson never got a look in. I don't think LVG will dump his captain on the bench but as I said, we will have to wait and see. Ideally would want a young striker who can actually learn from Rooney and be able to contribute when called upon this season as well.

Yeah, but that lad should be Wilson though man. Get a ready to go Striker in & have no regrets we didnt do all we could to score goals..

Wilson didn't seem ready to step in if the need comes. Someone like Remy, who would not mind the bench, will be a decent backup to Rooney. Think if we get Cavani we might see Rooney in the #10 role again, which I will absolutely hate seeing all the talent we have at our disposal now.

Edit: I pointed towards Remy because I don't see any young striker available who would be fine with being back up to Rooney but good enough to do the job this season, if needed.
