We'll probably have some more signings lined up in the coming weeks, I think it was just important to get the core down first. There's still time to get a new CB and striker.
He said he wanted most of the business done before tour if possible, but it's not always possible. Something along those lines. We ended up playing U18 and U21 players last season because of injuries. van Gaal won't repeat the same mistake that ultimately cost us a lot of games.
Well, let's say that Otamendi is the preferred target as our new CB, then it'd make sense on focusing on the targets that we could actually bring to the tour prior to securing him.
But that's just speculating, although i don't think there's any doubt that we'll bring in a new CB
