Tell you what, the British press have been fecking clueless about our dealings.

The only way we sell Di Maria this summer is if they offer us Lucas Moura or Marquinhos in exchange, or even less likely if we strike a deal for Harry Kane or Muller, think Woodward would only let a marquee signing go this quickly is if we got another one in at the same time.

How exactly doesn't Di Maria fit in? We don't have many fast attacking players with great dribbling ability so I don't see why we'd sell him unless he asks to leave.
We need a forward as well.. I don't believe we'll go into the season an injury away from having to play Depay or Wilson as our main striker and goal scoring threat

I agree a striker is needed but Rooney, then Chicha, then Wilson/Depay aren't TERRIBLE options. We don't need to go and spend something stupid like £60mill on Kane.
At least most of the British media maintained that we were looking to still sign Schneiderlin after getting Schweini . Poor Ian Herbert wrote a piece this evening that United were no longer interested

Just a week ago most of us were wondering what was going on now we have 3 new recruits in time for the tour. Unbelievable really. All for under 50 mil in transfer fees in total too and players we needed. Can't contain my excitement at these transfers. Wow

The great thing about these staggered signings on a mid July weekend is that the Caf hasn't gone full meltdown and we can all post without "She cannae take the strain" stopping us all the time.
They're an expensive national newspaper with a sport section, but a real sellout and not that good. Lots of misleading headlines and usually they quote the DailyMail, DailyStar etc as source in their transfer stories. They probably will have some reliable sources regarding Dutch football, but that's about it. You really have to read their articles properly to judge wether it's a serious one or bs. Most of their stuff on English football is dreadfull.

I guess MEN have the upper hand now as the national media don't have their old established connections anymore. They're all relying on genuine hearsay and intuition / right place right time investigation which favours the local media who can maintain a presence.
