"United players feel they'll never see De Gea again"

I must have missed De Gea being sent on a one way trip to Mars...

@Sport_Witness
Everton striker Lukaku told Belgium's Sport Voetbal that it's time he played in big games and won things. Lukaku said he's had to advise Roberto Martinez on tactics "The coach is the boss, but when something is going wrong, I'll simply say it." "I said to him: 'With all due respect, when I'm a winger I'm hopeless. I will only score goals if you put me right at the forefront'."

If he wasn't such a tool, he would be winning things with Chelsea

Aston Villa target Kieran Trippier to begin Tim Sherwood's rebuilding programme.

Lukaku. Absolute carthorse on the field.

Not a tweet, but Balague is saying Madrid are not interested in Sterling & Aguero and the top priority is getting De Gea:

“Sterling is not a player that they are looking to get. He is not someone they want to invest in and he is not someone they are going to even try for.

“The story of every summer with Real Madrid is they try to maintain the business model that has worked, which is try to get a Galactico every year.

“There aren’t many players that people would be excited about – Kun Aguero is certainly one of those and I think the media are responding to that.

“The plan is clear, to get De Gea and get players that were happy with on loan like Cherysev but there are no plans at the moment to get anybody as big as Aguero.”

People still don't understand how the transfer window works.

The journos don't know anything until it actually happens, so they have to write something to keep people reading. Each week they pick up on a different story and run with it as long as they can, usually until someone comes out & says it's rubbish. Then they move on to the next one. They tried it with Costa yesterday, but it's not really that interesting and they are having a go with Aguero today. What they need is a juicy United story which will fill up the column inches for a few days.

Spain's ABC said this morning that Man United had asked for €35m for De Gea but Real Madrid didn't want to pay more than €25m.

Maybe I'm being unrealistic, but I'd rather we kept him the extra year and let him go for nothing, than get such a derogatory seeming amount now.

Axel Witsel confirms that he's still negotiating with Juventus: "It's a super team. Talks between the clubs are still ongoing." (Sudpresse)

Hmm Witsel and Khedeira? They must be selling a CM then surely

I think Pirlo may be going to the MLS.

Yeah I think so too, but Witsel, Khedeira plus Marchisio, Vidal and Pogba (they also have a couple of other CMs too)
Those 5 will be looking for regular playing time...

De Gea is off. Sad times. Lloris will be our no1 next year. I wish no ill towards him, just Madrid. Hope they never win the CL while he's there and Barca clean up in Spain.

That seems quite likely for the next while. They've got a great team, and currently they're a good few paces ahead of Real.
Fingers crossed it continue and Real fall apart.
