I dont think it should. It might mean that he's not an automatic starter but we're going to be competing on multiple fronts and it means we won't ever have to see Rooney playing as a CM again. Schweinsteiger will add depth, quality and competition and Schneiderlin could do a lot worse than learning from him and Carrick.

Isn't this part of the problem, he wants a smaller squad but then moans when we have piles of injuries and don't have the quality to bring in. I know he wants continuity and a settled team, but it just doesn't seem to work that way for us.

No idea if he's a Barca fan but i think he speaks spanish(possibly Catalan too from his time there). Its probably had an influence on him. Tbh he's done a good job at Stoke and their game has changed drastically since Pulis left. Its a real shame they lost their best player though.
