Rooney, Hernandez and Wilson is enough if we are going to play with one striker (which I think we will considering that we have a lot of attacking players for the 2-3 three positions behind the striker).
So in that case, would you be comfortable going into next season with Kompany, Demichelis and Mangala as your three centre back options? Or do you see City adding to those options in the market?Yeah, won Scotland's Young Player of the Year award and has already started twice for Belgium at the end of the season. Celtic fans were very impressed with him. Whether he can make a swift transition from the SPL to the Premier League is obviously a big ask though, I'm not sure he'll be able to do it this season. Kompany and one of Demichelis/Mangala is likely to remain our first choice CB pairing and I think unless Denayer is going to play most weeks he's better off on loan elsewhere.
I don't think there's any danger of losing him though. He's too hot a prospect for City to let go, especially considering his potential HG status. Trouble is, his agent will be fully aware of that, hence why negotiations aren't going smoothly. The bottom line is Denayer wants to stay and City want to keep him, a compromise should only be a matter of when rather than if.
We should be looking to loan out Wilson, and get him regular first team football.. He needs that to develop at this stage imo, rather than playing the final 10-15 minutes of matches and starting the odd game in between.
Regardless of that - unless we change the system - I don't see the need for a new striker. Hernandez is a great backup. We should be looking to loan out Wilson, and get him regular first team football.. And if Young gets a new contract, hopefully renegotiate and bring it down to 75 or 80k instead of the 125k he is supposedly earning right nowWe should clear up about 500-550k in wages with Falcao, Nani and RvP gone.. And with Rafael, Hernandez, Anderson, Cleverley that should be at least another 100-150k in wages freed up.
It seems player's wives these days end up deciding where a player will go to. Even more so than their agent.
Manchester is doomed
With RVP nearly gone...who is next?
It seems LVG is on a mission to get rid of the deadwood and then buy, so if I was Evans I would shit scared right now.
I think she was happy enough here, but if Robin isn't playing and it is best to move, then she has to be happy with where they are going, especially with them having children. It seems player's wives these days end up deciding where a player will go to. Even more so than their agent.

Nothing like a gif to make you laugh during the depressing silly season

You do realize that the player's entire family moves with them right? If wife/kids don't like the place, most normal people wouldn't move. Why should footballers?
Probably at the same stage as the Darmian deal.Is the RVP thing official?

Personally, I would think keeping him for next season would be a prudent move. City will play 50 plus games as an absolute minimum, so he should get sufficient game time to develop. If you're not bringing in another CB, it would be dangerous to loan him out IMO.
Done dealio. Thanks for the 20th Robin. We will definitely sign a first team quality striker.
Because we generally only sell players we want to sell and the buying club knows it.So we managed to get less than £10m for both Nani and RVP.. we're so bad at selling.

That's one way of looking at it. Another would be that we save around £300k a week on top of the transfer fees.
And we just freed up 15-16 million in wages alone
Exactly, moving on unwanted players on expensive wages is good business.
People get far too hung up on transfer fees.

Another one gone?
