Transfer Tweets - Summer 2015 | Stop Spamming - Discussion Should Relate to Tweets

No, I'd love it to happen. Just don't buy into unreliable information from dodgy tweeters.

The sources don't seem dodgy though, more like last summer when our transfer stories broke abroad rather than via the UK journos. Glad to hear you've changed your mind on him though, he'd not be the most thrilling signing but I think he fits a purpose.

He'd be a way more exciting signing than Gundogan for me, as he's exactly what we need IMO.

That works both ways though. Vidal, for example, was well discussed abroad and didn't materialize. Unfortunately, people are just too desperate to believe anything.

Makes sense. RB market is terrible and Bayern, United, Liverpool, Barcelona, PSG and Porto (Do they have a replacement for Danilo already?) all need to sign RBs. An offer of 17 from Bayern, who have been pretty damn sharp in the transfer market, should raise his value.

The thing is that the decent foreign sources have been ahead of the UK ones most of the time recently so the hit record is still a decent percentage, I don't see why Ogden, Ducker, Castles etc....stating anything matters at this point, plus Schneidferlin is hardly worth making a story up about IMO.

Even though I agree with you, I don't think we're likely to sign two midfielders and in that case I'd prefer Schneiderlin over Gundogan.

I think we will definitely sign 2 CMs tbh, judging from what LVG has been saying. We still lack balance in CM (even with Carrick) so we need to fix the balance issue, then on top of that we need to get someone who can eventually replace the ageing Carrick.

Bascially Fellaini upgrade and Carrick replacement

If it was one or the other I'd take Gundogan as we miss Carrick's passing more than anything when he's out and Schneiderlin wont help with that much

Plenty of lesser players are subject to transfer rumours. We've 'signed' Gaitan every transfer window for 5 years.

Its actually the other way around. Websites and even journos need clickbait to draw eyeballs into their sites, and speculation is the best way to do it, even if its completely made up.

We shouldn't do a 'Real Madrid' and forget that steel is needed in midfield, unlike Madrid we do not have a 50 goals machine.

That's why I'm intrigued by that one, they don't mention it on their website and Canal+ don't create transfer buzz like that.

I know that is how journos work but usually you go with an enticing story and name to try and boost the clicks, Schniederlin just seems a random choice to me even with United enhancing the click bait value. We'll see though and hopefully soon if LvG's wishes are to be met regarding getting business done early.

I wasn't suggesting that but all the steel in the world isn't going to help us if we don't have a CM that can dictate the play, and we saw last season how poor we were without Carrick, those win percentages with him weren't a fluke.

You are right, but Schneiderlin wouldn't replace Carrick, he would support him and Herrera or Mata or Di Maria. We will have to sign an other midfielder to replace Carrick.

That's why I was saying we need him and Gundogan but if we had to pick one I'd pick the passer as we suffered in the games Carrick was out, not from lack of steel, but from lacking a player with passing incision from deep.

We did also suffer from lack of steel and have done most of the season (which is why Fella gets picked and Rooney gets put in at CM)

I'm not a big fan of Fellaini but the fact is we were playing well and winning with him providing that steel, the one thing we proved we absolutely couldn't do without was Carrick's deep playmaking, as soon as he was out we started to struggle to construct attacks and the tempo of our play dropped as well.

Just go so we can get a proper replacement in time for the new season! Better players have moved on and we still won titles. :)

Ffs please don't sign Alves!

32 year old on high wages and a 3 year contract, he will likely start declining now too

No chance. I was absolutely speechless when Ronaldo left, stayed in my room for 3 days lol
Ronaldo left us when we were on top of European football. We had a good squad and a legendary manager who was capable of winning silverware regularly. While it did suck when he left, I didn't doubt our capability to stay on the top.
DDG is leaving us during a fragile, transitional phase. He was probably our best player last season and one of the few world class players we have and his departure could have serious repercussions for our ambitions for next season.

I'd rather lose him for nothing thatn take the insulting money Real have offered.

We are to Madrid what Dortmund are to Bayern. It seems that way to me. If Depay ends up becoming a star player for us over the next few years you know where he'll end up. As for De Gea I'd rather he went now if his heart is not in it. We just need to get a solid replacement like Cech and we'll be fine as long as our main problems in defence and midfield are solved.

De Gea can be replaced though, who could have replaced Ronaldo for us? In hindsight maybe Robben, Silva or Ribery, but at least with De Gea there is some top keepers out there like Cech and Lloris or even perhaps Leno.

Real Madrid are starting to get on my tits. I say we burn down the Bernabeu. cnuts.

Enjoy playing for FSW David and goodbye.
Cant wait for Benitez to issue defensive tasks for Bale and Ronaldo, it will be fun that's for sure.
