Not sure of the need in posting the same thing, from different papers which have ultimately all got it from the same source like with the De Gea thing or Guerreiro.

Good job with the tweet posting though

If we pay £25m for Falcao I'll explode.

This.

I think he'd actually be a decent signing just not at that price.

I'd rather just buy Charlie Austin on the cheap as a third striker.

Some papers are saying you're after 2 strikers this summer. Are you looking to offload Remy?

Hope not. All he did was score goals when he played this season. He earned the right to stay as our #2 option.

Only way I can see him leaving is if he's desperate to be the main man. But then he'd never have signed with us in the first place if that was his mindset.

Hasty is better than them being flat out lies though

I don't think Kevin Palmer knows much.

Nor do the others who said the deal was happening. When transfers actually happen, they usually happen quickly with major journos like Ogden/Mitten etc getting involved and confirming one another's information. Not the orgy of bullshit we saw here last night.

You're really hoping this one doesn't happen aren't you?

It's seems completely futile following any media reports tbh. No-one knows anything until a deal is done, or unless the club leaks info, which half the time is serving a hidden agenda anyway. The speculation used to be fun, but there isn't a single journo out there who has the inside scoop. And before anyone says it, the foreign press are just as full of shite.

Canal were clearly briefed, probably from a source related to Schneiderlin and his camp. That's a bit different to Kevin Palmer, a bloke that probably doesn't get in contact with the club any further than the PA. Of course, that's not to say that Canal's information is true.

No, I'd love it to happen. Just don't buy into unreliable information from dodgy tweeters.

Didn't it come from Canal though? I'd imagine at the very least we are in in contention for his signature based on that

In all honesty, InfoSport aren't unreliable or dodgy at all, in fact they very rarely gets involved in transfer speculation.
But like Der Westen, they could've easily been briefed information from a source they usually hold in high regard, that might've jumped the gun or trying to push another part in the negotiations.

I doubt this is any more certain than the sources which claimed we'd already wrapped up the Gundogan and Clyne deals.

I'm with @Raoul. It all seems rather random and out of the blue. I can't remember us signing someone like before, especially form a English club. Southampton tend to brief the media when it comes to transfers.

I'm going to be positive as say at least it looks like Schneiderlin is on our radar. ;)
