Shaw - Otamendi - Ramos - Darmian
Rojo - Smalling - Jones - McNair/Valencia

Evans, Rafael sold, Blackett and possibly McNair loaned out. With our injuries there'd still be opportunity for Blind at LB and Carrick in CB though

Or play with a three :nervous:

Quit moaning about Smalling.

If Van Gaal gets two centre backs, I'd be delighted. Not whining about Smalling. Smalling has had 5 years to cement a place here. I'm still not sure about him and Jones injury wise.

I like it but I'm not sure it's the best in the world. Most of us have barely ever seen Darmian play and Shaw has a long way to go. Otamendi has had one good season so Ramos is the only one who has even a claim at the best in the world.

Bayern have Benatia, Boateng, Lahm, Alaba, Badstuber and Dante. Chelsea have Terry and Ivanovic who are better than anyone in that back 4. PSG with Silva, Marquinhos, Aurier, Digne, Maxwell, Van der Wiel, Luiz etc. Atletico Madrid have Godin and Juanfran.

It definitely has the potential to be the best in the world. But it would probably be a year or two away.

Right ...

Also PSG defence is bullshit Luiz is overrated, Marquinhos hasn't shown his potential and Maxwell, Digne and Van der Wiel are all very average. Silva is a top player but atm not better than Ramos.

Should be sold, far from good enough and older than mcnair.

A mess at lb as well.

Excellent, now get Ramos/Otamendi, Schneiderlin and someone up front and I'll be happy.

Depay, Darmian and Schneiderlin would be amazing 'early' business by our standards. We should probably get excited by the fact that Woody is yet to flex his 'biggest club in the world' muscles as well.

Right ...

You can not like Terry and still acknowledge how good a defender he is you know. I'm not sure there was a better centre back than him anywhere this year.

Luiz is overrated and as such, I listed him last. Digne is far better than average and Marquinhos has shown more of his potential than Shaw has so far.

Apparently he put in a transfer request.

If he has we should be all over that. But then again, good luck in convincing a young, ambitious footballer coming off a superb season to sit on the bench because Rooney is always going to play and we aren't playing with two strikers.

This guy is good enough to make Rooney perform consistently though. Both him and Van Gaal will look very foolish persisting with a Rooney dry spell while we have such a livewire sitting on the bench.

If true is amazing how clueless the media have been. Linking us all the time with Clyne, Coleman and Fabinho while we were negotiating all this time with Darmian.

Maybe we enquired about them, but i doubt we were ever really interested (in terms of bidding) in Clyne or Fabinho.

They can feck off.
I would take a Muller-Di Maria swap. Or even Di Maria + 10m for Muller.

They won't give us Muller though, so as you say, they can feck off. We don't need money, we need world class players.

If this is true, I am convinced. Di Marzio is a beast when it comes to serie a transfer market... first to come out with the news, proceeded to give minute by minute updates like he was sitting at the negotiation table with his laptop. Amazing.

They can feck off.
Unless Muller is involved that should be our response. Don't care if we can make a £10m or whatever, we're better getting him back to firing on all cylinders.
