From rumours that Darmian and Scnheiderlin deals are close to an agreement. Could all be bollocks though, so I just hope that will happen. :)
Didn't Koeman say we haven't put in a serious bid yet? I doubt we'll go from that to "deal confirmed" in 24 hours.

It is a state of self defence the club really hasn't been kind to us in the last couple of years regarding transfers. More summers than not we are left disappointed and fuming at the clubs incompetence to bring in the required players. People are not going to forget that Moyes summer very soon.

Fact is we were promised signings by Woodward and LVG and we were promised they would get them early so far nothing but Depay has happened and everybody knows DDG will leave and signings like Ramos etc almost never ever happen for us. So naturally people are impatient. They want to see things sorted before that crazy month of august starts, they want the situation with DDG sorted (staying or going) and if he is going they don't want to be lowballed with a riduclous low offer. People are worried the club is fecking about these things like they have done so numerous times in the past and that creates anxiety. If you can't understand that you are lacking empathy.
Nothing was promised, LVG said he wants the deals to get sorted early, he didnt promise that.

Nobody was promised, LVG said he wants the deals to get sorted early, he didnt promise that.

If a coach and CEO come forward like that several times and say we can expect a busy summer and that alot of work to bring the players in early has been done already. It is a sort of promise. You call this expectations management. You don't come out saying such things if you can't follow true on it so people are expecting it to happen now.

Its not a promise. You're taking all this too personal, in the meaning LVG has promised you as a fan something.
And we can still expect a busy summer. Its the beginning of July. Not 31st of August. Of course it would be great if we could sort a few deals before next week but transfers are not like - hey give me that and that player and the other club just says - all right here you are. Its not the market and we're not buying apples and oranges.

Not sure if a promise, but LVG was like everything has been decided who's coming who's going out and should be sorted out early etc..

Seems quite reasonable to expect us to sign Darmian and Schneiderlin soon , hopefully before we leave for the tour. That'd be 3 signings early, not bad I would say.
If we sign others they could drag on and probably one will be after the season starts which will be the muppet saga.

I didnt hear or understand it like that but all right.
I mean we could have decided who we want but that's about it, club couldnt guarantee all deals we want will be sorted quickly.

Sign Darmian, Morgan, and Otamendi/Ramos.
Keep Dave for the season.
Win the quadruple.

You heard it here first :wenger:

I'am not taking this to a personal level because I don't know LVG and he doesn't know me but it is from the point of view from the club to its fans. And a big club like United belongs on top level and after the last 2 seasons the club really owes its fans to take some measures to get back to that top level. Especially if the CEO and Trainer talk the way did last season it creates certain expectations.

These expectations haven't been met so far and thus people are getting impatient. Especially because we are talking about one of the biggest clubs in the world for whom money shouldn't be an issue because they work on the largest budgets in the game and because professional people have been hirred with experience that get paid millions of pounds to make certain things happen the way they suppose to happen at the club. People have these expectations that we need players, that the club have promised players, that we should be able to get players and we aren't getting them so people get anxious. It is to be expected. especially if they look to other clubs and they see those clubs do manage to get their player and get them early. People expect this to happen at United aswell certainly given the circumstances. If nothing happens and those crucial games are popping up over the horizon it is normal people get impatient.

No other big club has made a deal till now.

And people are acting like little kids in front of the shop window.
People have been impatient since the beginning of June or earlier and its sometimes ridiculous.

Crucial games are a month away.

Lets hope these Darmian rumours are true. I don't actually know how good he is, but if it means not gettign Van Der Weil, its worth it already

Which is fast approaching

You don't sign a player a day before a crucial match and expect them to have an impact. These players need to be integrated that requires time to train with the team and matches to experiment. Which is what pre season is all about and that starts in less than a week. Unless you like to see all our transfers miss the preparations with the team again you have to see the time for signings is now and not within a months time.

There plenty of clubs that have done business

Barca (whilst ona transfer ban), Bayern, The italian teams have been very busy especially Milan and Inter but also Juve. Atlético, Valencia and Sevilla have done some deals. PL has been rather quiet apart for Liverpool but the fact is we need signings more than our rivals and you know city, chelsea and arsenal (who did get Cech) are going to get some players aswell but they don't have CL qualifiers in august and can be in less of a hurry than us.

Just bid the £12.75mill that they're asking for (plus £1.4mill bonuses according to these tweets) and get this wrapped up for the tour please Woody. I can't even remember how long it's been since United had a first choice right back who wasn't a perma-crock. Bonus is he can play left back and wing back too.

Then be crazy and impatient, I'll leave you to it.

BREAKING via SKY Italia: Man United seems willing to guarantee Torino €20m for #Darmian - #Darmian is just 1 step away from joining United.

If this doesn't happen now can he be put on the ban list ?

Was running with these Vidal rumours aswell a whole summer, now he is making strong claims for Darmian saying the deal is practically done. If it turns out we are not even interested and he ends up at Bayern or Napoli I think this guy should be considered as bullshit.

He is not the one going with the story, all Omid do is report what italian media is saying, in this case SKY Italia.

Di Marzio never ran with the Vidal rumors actually except one report saying We enquired. It was all other Italian and Chilean media running with it.

Oh i guess you are talking about Omid. He just translates/tweets what other media reports.

Yea talking about Omid so he doesn't really bring news, just translates italian tweets ? Cheers

Still most new that he translates has turned to be wrong when it concerns us

That's because of the Vidal saga last year. Omid shouldn't be banned. He's a quick translator for Italian transfers. Gives updates on biggest moves very quickly. I'd rather keep that.

As for Di Marzio, he's absolute wank when it comes to non Italian deals but he's the king of calcio mercato. He knows the Italian football world inside out and gets exclusive info all the time. Last year he was the only one spot on about Vidal.

Woody's watching the value of the Euro tumble, and biding his time to save us some cash on the exchange rates.

Sorry, yes I know. I just added that since so many posters say Di Marzio is unreliable and knows nothing. Well they're dead wrong when it comes to Italian transfers. He's been spot on with Italian related deals yet again this summer. It's the non Italian related deals where he gets it wrong most of the time.

80% of these tweets won't come true. Let's ban them too.
