I genuinely thought something big was going to happen today. I feel as though our business will be waiting until August. Can't see anything happening now before the tour, and we won't do any business during it.

Absolute bollocks  And I hope you fall into a pit

I don't get that. How can someone fail a medical and then pass it elsewhere.

We still don't know everything we would like to know about the human body or have the technology to find this out, one doctor can deem an abnormal test result enough to fail a medical whilst other doctors might not see it as a problem. There are differences in what is acceptable and what is not between hospitals within 10km from where I live (everywhere else too), I assume that for topsporters these margins are smaller but still there.

Also depends on what he failed the medical on, it could be an old injury which didn't heal correctly or a potential problem for the future which the club didn't want to risk. Some clubs don't want players with slight heart problems, others take that risk and try to minimise the damage it could do.

I doubt it. Atbleast one or two players will be added. We have a CL qualifier to play early august...

He failed three times. I'd guess it was just a case of Atletico taking more of a risk than Valencia

So you don't think anything will happen in the next 17 days?

You are aware when the transfer window opens yes?

Get a grip. There are 2 weeks left before they fly out. Alot can happen.
I'm not complaining or anything like that. I don't need a "grip" - August is just my genuine prediction as of today. Maybe I'll be wrong, maybe not.

Getting petulant now. ''I say what I want and that is my opinion because people are allowed arseholes and i have one too... or something like that. Don't talk down to me and don't tell wut to do.

Calm down bro.

(Don't bother to reply, i got you bro! -> ''I am not your 'bro'. Happy to help. 'Bro'. '').

I literally didn't say any of that. And have been calm from the beginning. I think you are misreading my tone.

Actually I make a lot of sense. As for telling somebody you don't know over the internet you want them to fall into a pit just because you disagree with them... You must have a fun life.

I think the pit comment was tongue in cheek mate.

Window opens tomorrow. Try to remember thay.

You said you genuinely thought something big was going to happen today. What is this reasoning behind concluding that because your big thing did not occur on june 30th, the next 14 days will be barren?

You must have a sound argument seeing as you told someone else that you were making alot of sense... so where is the sense in going full muppet today and then losing all hope and predicting that nothing will happen in the next 14 more days that also last 24 hours each?

I think you are just disappointed and having a moan to be honest.

I'm well aware. And despite what people seem to think, I don't actually mind too much if it is August. I was just saying that's my prediction for our next signing. I thought it was a fair assumption given we fly out on tour (I imagine quite soon?) and don't get back until August. Everyone's replying as if I've thrown a tantrum. I thought I was just making a decent prediction.

feckall day transfers wise and it's clearly getting to people.

The weakest of mind always cave in first. It's like those panicking extras who always die first in survival/horror/thriller/natural disaster movies.

I meant by today (disregarding poor Memphis) and I'm really not moaning.

I couldn't give two shits about some magazine that I will never read. I am talking from my experience as a united fan following the transfer stuff every season. It's not like they have become better at it? It's the same bollocks every season and there is no effort to make it easy for the people who actually read it aka the fans. Transfers have become more secretive? Well, that's your job as a journalist. At least get closer to the source as much as possible but majority of them make the most shittiest predictions(based on their "sources"). It has actually come to a point where, red cafe has evolved more quickly than these so called journalist. We know which tweets to neglect and which ones to take seriously. Same mediocre journalism every season, rinse and repeat. Can't believe they get paid for this crap.

100% agree with this.. It made me remember how somebody at Caf posted some fake quotes about how Kaka wanted to join us back in summer of 07' or 08' and I think The Sun actually posted an article on an exclusive about how Kaka is joining United with those quotes..

Maybe someone here who was there at that time can explain the story better or correct my version...

Half the time they dont even try hard enough to actually find out what's going on..

Christ!! That is a shitty comparison. What do the others get for sitting through the entire experience, an overpriced fellaini?

You're probably right, it's only a loan aswell so they likely are aware of the risk (whatever it may be). It's probably been found by the doctors from Atletico aswell but they diagnosed the cause or potential future harm differently and are willing to take the risk. The human body with all it's problems stays an incredibly complex thing which doctors can't agree about so from time to time you'll hear players failing medicals and passing them a day later elsewhere. As long as we don't know everything about the body it will always come down to the interpretation from a doctor and the quality of the tests that have been done.

Let them pay 80M for him. Most overpriced player in living memory. David Luiz aside.

He's good but I hardly get all the ridiculous hype about him. Scores some cracking long rangers but his overall game has a long way to go.

How can you slap that tag on him when he has not even been sold yet? Moreover, even if he costs £100m, if he continues to progress as he has done, then whoever has signed him has one of the world's best midfielders with the rest of his career ahead of him. It would be money well spent. Fair enough if you think he's overrated, but any questions over whether he is overpriced or not have yet to be answered.

Yeah. Surely that term can only be applied after the fact. Or at the least a player with a few more years behind him.

Agreed.. Wasn't that Chelsea second striker(Name eludes my memory) from last year, fail his medical at Liverpool, but then Chelsea signed him?!

That OR Di Maria, Herrera, Shaw, Falcao.
They didn't all work out (yet) as well as they couls in the end , but at the time it got everyone buzzing.

Of course he's overpriced. You can't sell him as the best midfielder in the world when he's not. Yet.
Sell him at his level now, not what he could be. It will take a lot of work for Pogba to reach his potential so how can Juve get rewarded for work they won't be doing? Could he even reach that level in italy?

This is exactly what I was thinking, it seems like someone will pay world class fee for a player who could go on to become world class . No midfielder even at his peak has been sold for big money so it just seems crazy that clubs seem ready to pay so much for him
