Have a sinking feeling that we'll end up the loser in all this again.

Ramos wants a better contract so makes to leave, our interest in Otamendi lessens because of this and we pursue Ramos. Real play hard ball with Ramos and declare interest in Otamendi as a replacement.

Eventually Ramos signs a new contract and Otamendi ends up anywhere but at United and we're left signing some shite like Ron Vlaar.

Have Milan managed to sign anyone eventually? They were in for Kondogbia and Imbula for midfield and have been beaten by Inter to both signings, they wanted Martinez for attack and were beaten by Atletico even though it had been reported that Martinez were all but signed. No one seems to want to go there and it's strange because they're not really in much worse shape than Inter who have managed to get some decent signings done.

I dont think they have signed someone of any signifcance. We dont know what happened behind the scenes or how much (more?) Inter pay, but once you sign a player, it is easier to convince others to join, showing you mean business and to believe in the project.

They're in for Bacca and are close to tying up a deal with Roma for Bertolacci.

Funny to laugh at Perez's insanity but if they convince Ramos to say we will be laughed at like clowns.

If pool sign Benteke then they really have went all out this summer to eradicate last years mistakes. Signing solid players who are very good at this level, and also getting their business done before pre season.

Obviously I think swallowing is too much pleading to keep De Gea from leaving, though

Excellent stance to take. Madrid want De Gea and they want him now. We might not get £35m for him (we definitely won't) but it forces them to either wait another year after unsettling their longest serving player (lol), or pay a decent amount for a goalkeeper in the last year of his contract. Either that or give us Ramos (if they don't that's their most influential character also pissed off for a season, you'd think). It's really good stuff from Woodward, if there's any truth to it of course.

ESPN have had articles about their sources understanding alot of United related things in the past (last season we weren't done on deadline day with just Falcao according to their sources), with Miguel DeLooney claiming alot of United transfer related news as facts and they've never come true.

It is still very much ON.
