The 2 main newspapers in Spain are El Pais and el mundo. As=El Pais=Ser(radio), Marca is related to El Mundo and Cope, although the second group is not so sticky about the news. They are very reliable
I always thought the balance of power is AS and Marca for Real and El Mundo and something else (Sports) for Barca?

Schneiderlin and Ramos

I can't breathe. My Muppet is growing. It's fecking massive right now.

Look at the date stamp on that Schneiderlin tweet - feck sake, is it too much to ask for a bit of quality control?

No chance Arsenal sell Koscelny, he's their best defender by some distance. Buying Cech and selling Koscelny is basically 1 step forward and 2 back.
No way Arsenal would have sold Henry, Van Persie, Fabregas, etc... It's about time Real Madrid go antagonise other English clubs.

 muppets are getting desperate

It's fecking pathetic.

I'm all for a bit of muppetry, but that tweet is nearly a month old.

I got an alert saying there was a new transfer tweet, got excited, then saw it was completely dated content.

It's not hard to look at the date stamp!

Read the post, it was in reply to something I questioned, maybe I should have put it in the Schneiderlin thread

Sorry dude :nervous:

Here there is not proMadrid press as people think, actually all the press is pro Madrid less Sport and Mundo Deportivo(Barsa).
El Pais is progresist,El Mundo more conservative and then is La Razon/Abc,pro Crown/Catholic and very close to extreme right.Pedrerol and El Chiringuito,Madrid board puppets writes in La Razon(group also related to Onda Cero radio, where talks sometimes Balagué)

Thank you guys.I am starting to feel that Ramos is gone.30 m€ seems to much since he is 30.If we get 30+de Gea for Ramos we will spend the money in a good CB but not so good as Ramos.I hope that Florentino is thinking something maleficent

Maybe he is knocking one out to Angelina Jolie.

Sorry, I take it all back - didn't realise you had posted it as part of an ongoing conversation.
Yeah that's the issue with the difference in the two threads. I've edited the title of the discussion thread so hopefully in future when people post old tweets they'll put them in quote tags so they won't show up in the twitter only thread.

:lol::lol::lol:

fecking meltdown cuz someone posts an old tweet in response to a poster. You poor saps. Even needed a title warning too

No worries, I actually forgot that it would go into the twitter feed, in hindsight I shouldn't have posted it

€30m + DDG and you'd be happy with that? Madrid have our pants pulled down

Flabbergasting that people think this is a fair deal.

We'd be paying €60m for a 29 year old defender

I can understand People being excited about getting Ramos and feeling like we atleast get something now but to call it a good deal... Also if you include the wages, Madrid didn't even want to pay him 8 million a year and now we are going to pay him 12 million a year which brings him in the category with players like Ronaldo and Messi, for a 29 year old defender I find that ALOT of money !

Lets hope he proofs to be worth it. Atleast he'd fit a number of important criteria like being good at building up from the back and having a strong personality on the pitch that can light things up if we need that to happen (will probably also happen a couple of times when we don't need it to happen). I guess he is the closet thing to a prime Vidic replacement who is actually good at bring the ball forward, which is excactly what we should be searching for.

But still 29 and 30m+DDG+12m a year in wages that is like 108m for having him here for like 4 seasons, I also really struggle to see how this deal could possibly be described as fair.

Who would be next in line for the club captaincy if Ramos did leave with Iker booted-out? Would Pepe be the senior man of the squad?

And receiving less than €30m for our best player in the last 2 years who is 24.

How much do you think Ramos is worth on his own out of interest?

Or Ronnie?
He's the perfect captain material.
I thought they decided it based on time spent at the club? If not then yes I'd agree Ronaldo would be the best choice, though if rumours of him and Perez not getting on are true then that might be another potential issue.

I think you have to forget de gea's worth for what it means to us. At the end of the day he's desperate to leave, is about to leave and has one year left on his contract. His value really isn't that much.

Having said that it still amounts to around 35 million for a 29 year old. I definitely wouldn't Ramos' worth up as up there with Rvp's when he got him, and he'll have to adapt to a new league so I'm not convinced this represents value, even though it probably is the logical fee in this market and keeping in mind circumstances.

I just hope we don't end up with another big name with his bets years behind him. We're making a bit of a habit out of it now.

Yup pretty much this

What I think is happening here is that this is the closest we've been to signing anyone this summer(bar Depay)
Think the muppets are feeding off the scraps at the mo and getting excited about anything and anyone. But losing our best player and rock of our defence in DDG in any deal would be a huge loss.
The only deal I'd probably be happy about is Ramos for DDG No Cash.

Ramos would be good but I'd prefer Otamendi, hasn't Ramos had around 19 red cards in his career? Yeah that's just what we need. So we'll have 3 injury prone defenders and 1 that's suspended half a season. Greaaaat

I was just kidding. Ronaldo is everything but captain material.
