Well, if that's the case, then feck him. Greedy little bastard.

Apparently Gundogan deal was wrapped up until Barca got involved, then he demanded the same wages as di maria and ed/woodward got disgusted and locked everything off. Barca snubbed him for Pogba and Dortmund didn't want to sell him to Bayern unless they got a player in return.

As much as BVB are trying to make it looks like everything's cool, it wasn't. He definitely wanted to leave and is only considering staying because he's red nosed and has no where to go.

That's what Der western were saying apparently.
If that's true, I'm glad we saw what's going on. This season, we don't need to be as desperate as last season

And where's the link to this information?

I hope LVG and woodward re approach him with the same wage offer as before, as his options have been heavily reduced he may be inclined to sign, pride doesn't help us here. He's a great player and would do wonders for our midfield. Wonders.

Don't have it now, was a while back. It was published in a German newspaper and der western covered the story.

It was right before he made that statement saying all the rumors about him wanting higher wages are lies.

If it's true I hope they don't. He sounds like a mercenary scumbag. And he's fat. :p

IMO We need 2 good midfielders if we are to actually contend this year. Yes I know he's not the only one but 22m would of been a fecking steal for him, would take him over schweiny anyday, although they are fairly different from eachother.

Schweiny plus another cm would be fantastic. Schweiny by himself is a dif story.

One of those midfielders should be Schneiderlin imo.

He's the captain of the Romania U16 team. He's obviously a signing for the U18/U21's and won't come anywhere near the first team, just like Bielik.

Cheers - Just found it odd that he had a number 7 shirt. Had never heard of him so thanks for the information.

Perez is considering starting a new era without Casillas, Ramos and Ronaldo.

It makes sense to cash in on a player hitting 30+ if they still have a resale value but selling a player who will score you 50+ goals for the next 3 years at least is madness.

Having said that I'd happy take Ronnie and Ramos! Ronaldo's wages are huge but his marketability will probably cover at least 50% of those wages and Ramos can have Falcao or RVP's wages for all I care.

Hope this isn't true. Di Maria will come good!
The only person I would be happy to let di maria go for is Muller and that's if di maria isn't happy and Muller wants the move. I wouldn't even consider lewandoski tbh

Lewandowski's a brilliant striker but I want to let Di Maria prove himself here, like he said he wants to.

Oh he's one of the best. It's just if a striker of his calibre comes then he will have to play no.9 which will put rooney in midfield, I'm not really a fan of that unless the midfield gets a boost. Muller being an all round forward gives us options.

Or Rooney will just compete with him and probably get dropped?

I would happily have this happen. Just can't see it though, even with LVG being known for this type of thing.

Especially if Rooney remains captain, not forgetting he's on 300k a week as well.

I know but LVG has said several times he's going to play the best players at that moment in time. If Rooney isn't performing and we get someone like Lewandowski or Muller in, he'd have no trouble dropping Rooney.

I miss the days where we were leaking solid information about our targets. Now it's mostly click-bait speculation from the tabloids, so any real information gets lost in the noise. When we finally get around to doing our business it'll be quick and probably a little surprising.

I'll admit to getting a bit concerned given how close we are to the start of our pre-season preparations. It was said last year that we wanted to avoid integrating players late into the squad and it would be frustrating to see that happen again. I don't count myself as being in the drama queen camp just yet, but I'm sure it won't be long.

You have to wonder the our actually targets are at this rate. With this much time gone and pretty much nothing to go on, we can assume we are going after some big fish otherwise we could have had most of our business done already. I do hope the club aren't letting gettable targets go in the hope of getting players less eager to play for the club who may have a bigger name.

He also said his captain would always play. Guess who our captain is.
Plus it's not like Rooney loses his place if a new striker comes in, irrelevant of his quality. He'll most likely play as part of that midfield 3 and rotate as a striker

I've also read there are rumours in Spain that Barcelona are interested in Di Maria.

Messi to United anyone???
Meh, don't want Messi. He's 28 today so he's knocking on a bit. We should only sign <25 year olds.

The mindset of the people who don't want Ramos.

So what have we learnt over night, we'll lose DDG for feck all and get bent over in a deal for Ramos.

How can we learn from speculation? No deals agreed nor in place, nothing has changed. I do wonder why people take gossip as gospel.

He said our captain would always play when asked how he's going to fit RVP, Falcao, Mata and Rooney in to 2/3 places. If we sign a world class striker like Lewandowski (this is completely theoretical by the way - wouldnt happen) and a much needed midfielder, Van Gaal could easily drop Rooney.
