Is it just me or is anyone stunned at the IQ of Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke? These guys are Gods to me but why would Andy Cole come out and say that we should sign Kun Aguerro? That's as bizarre as Matt Le Tissier saying Southampton should sign Ronaldo and Messi. Obviously we are no Southampton but you get what I am trying to say. How can an ex footballer be so brain-dead? And now Yorke is coming out saying we should get Bale when it's been obvious for the last couple of months that he has a major role to play for Benitez next season. You wonder do these guys still follow football anymore to come out with such outrageous and ridiculous ideas?

They're not that outrageous and ridiculous tbh, its more about if we would be able to tap up the players, its unlikely, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be attempting to do so, which it looks like we have been for Bale.

I guess if you see sense in their comments then I guess your probably as sharp as a bowling ball yourself. Can't wait to see your tweets on here when The Metro newspaper links us with Platini and Paul McShane

I couldn't agree more....but when a player is not for sale Ala Ronaldo, Bale, Hazard, Matic, Aguerro etc then there's not much point pursuing it

For once I'd wish we came out and denied interest in a player with Schweinstiger.

Feck him and his contract negotiations with Bayern.

I'd say keep Dave and let him go on a free if we must next summer. Alternatively, keep him and spend the next 6-8 months coaxing him into an extension.

If we feel there's nothing in it, why bother? Conversely, if we're actually interested, then there's no reason to do it.

I agree or hold out for a huge offer from Real, but keeping him for another season may just help us win silverware... and he may change his mind if Real indicates they can do without him for a year.

"Real Madrid's bid for De Gea, worth an initial €20m plus add-ons, is on the high side for a goalie who is out of contract next summer"

What are they talking about? £13m is on the high side for one of the best keepers in the world? fecking ridiculous journalism!

We've gone from 'wanting' Carvajal, Varane, Benzema, Bale, and now Ramos. Who next? Modric? Isco?
