Who else are they after? You're allowed 3 non-EU players registered in your 25 man squad. A lot of these South Americans have dual-citizenship with countries like Portugal (Brazil) and Italy (Argentina) so class as EU.
Kranevitter, Mammana, Tevez, Vietto, etc.

I was debating whether to include him, but eventually did since he announced he was off half-way through our worst season in decades (entirely self-inflicted by the club, I accept), which I didn't think was ideal in the circumstances, much less for the club captain. He's still one of my favourite players of recent years, but his departure just about qualifies him for the list in my view.

Would you like to expand on what else you found wrong there? It's potentially a good debate to have I think (though probably not in this thread ).

Nah, no debate, just nonsense.

Honestly after the way Tevez, Ronaldo, Pogba, Fryers, Vidic, Welbeck and now DDG have left and acted in doing so, I'm struggling to give a feck anymore.
Tevez and Fryers fair enough. You should probably have included Heinze in there too. Welbeck I can sort of understand. No idea what Ronaldo, Pogba and Vidic did wrong though. They didn't act poorly when trying to leave the club and haven't done so since leaving either.

On the contrary, there clearly is debate, unless you believe I'm the only person who felt he could've handled his exit better? Regardless, take him off the list if you like, it's not even slightly important.

Yeah I remembered Heinze too late.

Ronaldo was included for basically the summer of 2008, highlighted by him agreeing with Blatter's idiotic slavery comments, and then the next season repeatedly saying he was staying (including that time before the 2009 final when he interviewed himself for either Sky or ITV, and asked himself about whether he was going to join Real, and said again he was staying, when he knew he would be joining Real basically as soon as the final whistle was blown in the 2009 final), you can even include the links to us a few years ago when he was renegotiating his Real contract if you think that was planted by his side to put pressure on Real to up his contract offer. With Pogba the link to Juve was publicly rumoured well before the move happened, his performances for the reserves suffered and then afterwards he's made a few comments about Fergie's decision not play him more which some might consider disrespectful, which is basically the conduct point I'm referring to. Vidic I've discussed.

The point was that it is pointless getting upset with how players conduct themselves, which I didn't think was a particularly controversial argument. Hating Falcao (the original question) would in my view be particularly unfair given the conduct of other former players in recent years - Falcao has done nothing at this stage to deserve hating IMHO, but others can obviously disagree.

Vidic didn't act poorly?

No, of course not. Just the club captain announcing, half way through our worst season is recent history, that he was leaving at the end of the season. And not just that he was leaving, but that he'd agreed to join Inter and then posed for a load of pictures with his new club. A rat and a sinking ship springs to mind. If that had been Rooney or Rio, they'd have been absolutely strung up for it. Its incredible how Vidic got away with it, with relatively little said.

Don't get me wrong, I'll always love Vida, and look back at his time here with great affection. But the way he left was very poor form.

Exactly, Rooney is getting all kind of stick cause he wanted to leave, yet Vidić, a captain who actually decided to leave, got away with it.

This, This, and This. Can't comprehend this type of reason being used for slaughtering Rooney

Yeah, leaving when he's past his best is the same as a player wanting to leave because he thinks he's too good for us (he really isn't). Vidic was nowhere near the same player. Wasn't surprised he left. Never said a bad word about the club. Didn't Gerrard do exactly the same?

I think he got away but because he wasn't offered a contract and told reportedly that he wasn't going to as a starter at those levels.

Which kind of justified it.

Doesn't seem like the kind of thing that would stick. Difficult to prove that a team did something just because an opponent asked nicely.
Aren't Deportivo the ones who shopped Levante/Zaragoza ( the match fixing that Ander is in court about)?

what is this all about?
Some Brazilian kid who nobody has really heard of. We will give him shelter until he decides Real is where it's really at. They say he is a Carrick clone, say he is ready for playing now. That would be one hell of a risk to take. One bad injury for Carrick and you put a 21 year old in who has no experience of european football nevermind the PL.

Wow. Let's hope they extend the investigation and then find that Real Madrid are also involved. It would be funny if both Barca and Real both end up being relegated to the second division with a handicap of -40 points or something like that to start the season in that lower tier.

Looks like a nothing story. The deportivo defender commented on jokingly telling Xavi to slow down as the draw suited both teams. They've picked up on that decided to have it checked.

Apparently Messi had a wrongly disallowed goal as well after it was 2-2 which also probably suggests barca weren't looking to draw.

Yeah asking one player from the opposition to "take it easy" doesn't really qualify as match fixing!

Wow so you're saying match officials were involved in this too, it goes so deep...

Simeone confirming atletico's going for tevez and vietto. Shaping up to be a brilliant summer for them already. Good stuff, hope they continue their good work.

Mandzukic to go back to Germany to Wolfsburg I reckon. Tevez and Vietto to come in. Really exciting times for them. Koke already said he will stay and I can see Simeone maybe changing it up a bit next season. Oliver Torres also back into the fold, and the possible return of Luis Filipe. They can make some cash for Alderweireld and Mandzukic which would probably fund most of the Tevez and Vietto deals. They also have Guilavogui out at Wolfsburg on loan and as far as I'm aware he's a permanent fixture in their side.

In:
Tevez
Vietto
Filipe Luis
Correa (already signed, but will play next season)
New CM
New DF

out:
Mandzukic
Guilavogui
Alderweireld
Raul Jimenez

Good summer.

How would Atletico fit Tevez, Vietto and Griezmann in the first 11? i suppose the Frenchman can play as a winger, but it doesn't seem that Simeone favors any kind of wing play, it's usually a CM or an AM playing on the wing in his teams from what I saw.

He's going to play Koke central from what I gather. Arda is also not a guaranteed starter but what they have lacked is proper depth up top. Torres is still handy to have too.

Meh, nothing to see here. Barca probably did let up, but I doubt it was for Depor's sake. And with two cup finals in their next two games they can easily say it was inadvertent, no-one could ever prove otherwise.

well that game cost me 280 quid in an accumulator so I certainly wasnt happy if this is true. I find it hard to believe though.

He played the other day for Montenegro and scored against Denmark but was injured and had to go off after 42 minutes which pretty much sums up his career so far. He's been linked strongly with Inter and talks have apparently been held a few times but so far nothing concrete has emerged. Liverpool have been mentioned too, and Juventus, although given they've just signed Dybala it seems unlikely. At any rate it seems to just be a question of who he leaves City for rather than a question of if he does.
Cheers, that's what I was thinking, that he was surely off. Could be quite a few in and out at City this summer.

Benzema is like Manchester United's ex wife. We keep begging him to come every year and every year he turns us down. TIME TO MOVE ON PLEASE. I dont want him if all he is going to be is on massive wages and sulk that he isnt enjoying the sunshine in Spain anymore.

We want players that want to actually play for us please.

Good summer.
Weren't they favourites to sign Tielemens too? Now that'd be an impressive summer of transfers.
