I never really believed Mbappe was an option but there's always been a chance with Kane. Seems like Spurs are pretty keen to play hardball and we can't afford to wait until deadline day and then lose out because we'd be left with nothing.

Well... Martial... but that might as well be nothing...

We don't have the money for Mbappe (who in Europe does?) and Spuds won't sell is Kane.

This is probably the one time I can be OK with these obvious club briefs to stop unrealistic fans being disappointed.

Are we negotiating for Mbappe or Kane?? Does anyone know?

It looks like PSG's trying to create a market for Mbappé. L'Équipe (Tier 2) reported multiple clubs being interested in the player (United being one of them), and none of them have really come forward to pursue Mbappé. PSG will struggle to get big money from a European club even if Mbappé wants to remain in Europe.

No on both. On Kane, Jamie Jackson & Luckhurst both speculated that United might reenter the race once the Spurs co-owner compelled Levy to sell Kane this summer. On Mbappé, PSG are trying to look for European suitors to entice Mbappé to leave this summer, but none of them have made an approach for the player.

It sounds so obvious but Ajax or Utrecht?

Although Ajax aren't in the best of situations at the minute are they?

No, and I don't think Maurice Steojn is going to be the one to pull them out of it, as long as it is a stylistic fit then I think it will be good. Maybe look at PSV who have Peter Boaz coaching them if we are going down the Dutch route.

If the alternative is to lose him on a free, they surely will - to us or any other club, doesn’t matter which one
Will happen if they have no non-PL buyer but we know they have one (Bayern) and probably two (PSG with the possible Mbappe money).

I can see a scenario where Muani and Kane move outside their leagues for lower fees than if they went to domestic rival clubs (United/Bayern).

What about Palace? They've lost Zaha and look set to lose Olise; FP's already played (a small amount of) PL as well as pl-level cup games and Europe, and looked promising, so I'm sure he could stake a claim for regular game time thee, alternating between 1st 11 and sub appearances if not being a guaranteed starter...

It's good that we're tying down lads like Al and Gordon. If they don't make it, at least they won't bugger off for nothing and hopefully we can get a decent deal.
