With Savage, Laird, Chongs sell-clause, Elanga (once that is confirmed), Telles and Iqbal we have actually got close to £25 million - almost financed one new signing

Should be enough to get Amrabat, hopefully Henderson goes for a fee also and not on loan. Also I’m kind of hoping we have the £50m it will probably take to get Hojlund already despite talks of only being £120m excluding sales budget.

For those who were wondering if Goretzka could join United:

Source:

Leon Goretzka has no thoughts of leaving the club. Short and sweet, he says: "No."

"I love the club, I love the city, I love the fans."

Kane wants £30m per year :wenger:

Never took Bayern as big paymasters. Very much doubt they'd go that high.

Much as I'd love Kane 600k+ a week is just mental. We're trying to build a team ffs. The problem with trying to buy players looking for their last big contract.

Thanks to @Berbaclass in the Rasmus Højlund thread (Tier 3):

For the record, Juventus bought Vlahovic for €75m (bonuses included). Basically, Atalanta want €60m guaranteed + €15m in bonuses.

I think it’s more likely that Kane has made it clear to Bayern that he won’t leave England for less than that and/or he will only sign a new deal with Spurs for that.

There is no way he is pricing himself out of a potential club where he wants to go with demands like that.

Difference is Vlahovic was banging in way more goals (49 in 108 for Fiorentina)

If there's a chance we can land Kane this summer then we should forget about Hojlund.

We would pay that for Kane or Mbappe, Kane obviously thinks for 5 years he was paid peanuts relative to his performance by. Spurs then his layers contract of £200k is 50k less than Martial and £150k lower than J Sancho. Last significant contract he doesn’t rely on pace why shouldn’t he ask to be paid in the top 20 players in the world that’s right top 20, there will be at least 11 or 12 being paid more in Saudi and Neymar, Messi and Haaland all earn that or more !

I’m starting to think United could get this deal down; we offer £85m last week of windows and offer him 4+1 contract on £30m per year that’s £200m deal but spread over 4 years £50m per year, curiously exactly what we could spend in additional to our budget if we sold the club to SJ/Qatar.

Assume we sell; Fred(15),
D Henderson(20), DVB(14), A Elanga(15),
H Maguire(25), A Teles(6) E Bailey(6),
B Williams(9m), A Martial(10m) £120m if this happened this would truly be remarkable maybe we get rid of 3/4 for £80m but we could potentially reduce an awful lot on wages.

If we sold all of them we would clear £1m per week from the wages, added to D De Gea, P Jones, A Tuanzebe and C Ronaldo (6 months 250k ), Weghorst (6 months 50k), Sabitzer(6 months 75k)

it’s another £900m per week that’s £1.9m per week potential freed up from last season and if we buy - M Mount(200k), A Onana (200k), *R Hojlund if we sign (125k),*S Amrabat if we sign(150k),
M Rashford new (125k extra), Dalot new (50k added) about ££850k per week which means there is £1m free which less than what Mbappe or Kane would cost?

Bayern, Spurs, are not paying Kane that salary as a 30 year old striker, Madrid, PSG, Newcastle, Chelsea and United would all pay that deal all day long, every day especially if he’s on a free next year, I think United might revisit this deal very soon?

It’s actually much better than that, take Telles £4m fee away from the potential £25m let’s call it £24m - A Teles at £4m is £20m all on academy players which represents a net transfer profit, allowing the club to amortise transfer purchases by the length of their contracts even if we were to pay for a new player in one or two instalments. It basically means we can spend £80m more if we bought an £80m player and gave him a 4 year contract.

When the Glazers also briefed the Press the club could spend £350-400m if they sold the right players, for once they were telling the truth. I think we will not spend that amount no chance but £200m net is a very distinct possibility.

A Onana(£43m), *D Alaba(£30m),
S *Amrabat(£25m), M Mount(£55m),
*R Hojlund (£57m), * H Kane £100m
Total £315m

Sold - Z IQbal, C Savage, T Chong,
M Jurado, E Laird(5m Total),
A Elanga(15m),
D Henderson(20m), Fred (15m),
A Teles(6m), E Bailey (4m),
B Williams(10m), DVB(15m), A Martial(10m), H Maguire(25m)
Total £125m

Net £190-200m

Some serious optimism with Williams price, suspect it would be hard to shift Martial

Well - we can technically spend more yes, but in terms of financing a player -£24 million is £24 million :)

Brandon Williams is 22, can play left or right back has played at least two seasons in PL, why not, A Goalkeeper whose never played men’s football just been sold to Burnley for £19m?

Thus is cash into the club only if teams like Forrest agree to pay the payment in one instalment this summer, otherwise we could have only £10m from £25m of sales, I’m sure Teles would have been paid up front from Saudi league but the others not so Sure, and remember FFP is mostly Bs, the truth is the Club has very little cash available and will have to use a revolving Bank of America credit card facility.

Largely because of his wage. Depending on what you read he's on anything from £35k to £65k. If he was on a reasonably low wage in line with most young players, I agree you may well get £10m for him from a low end PL or top end Championship side, but those clubs aren't paying that salary, and if you're at United who in their right mind would take a paycut to go and sign for Norwich, for example?

United can't afford, if he goes to Tottenham then good luck to him! Chelsea are an unknown quantity just now and Barca, Inter suddenly have a few hundred million to spend??

If he goes it'll be Madrid or City...or Saudi early retirement.

Yeah we definitely can't afford him

I mean their current offer would have in at Madrid a year from now. That'd be nuts.

 Yeah sure, Inter and Barca. Whoever wrote that should be fired immediately.
