Amrabat isn’t at the club currently . Martinez as an emergency is a non starter . You’ve basically made up a position for him.

Mount
Eriksen
Casemiro
McTominay
New signing

cover if needed
Bruno
Mainoo

So you think Fred gets sold over McTominay

Fred has a year left on his contract so I think he’ll be moved on . I think McTominay will stay as a squad player . I can’t see us selling both. It leaves us too light in midfield

Why should we accept 45m for both players? Have we got brain injury or what? Anything less than 70m and we would've been severely mugged.
With Maguire's wages and meme status, we'd be lucky to get over 20m. McTominay is worth more than 25m but not a lot more imo. I think we're a lot more likely to end up having to keep them than getting 70m.

Yeah I don't expect there's any chance of getting more than £45m for those two. £70m is ridiculous for one meme and one mid table gamble.

I reckon Maguire is worth 30m and we should at least get 40m for Scott if Fulham are rejecting 45m for Paulinha and Hammers are getting more than 100m for Rice.

But Mct isn't a very good defensive midfielder so not sure the price fulham are quoting for paulinha is relevant. Can't see anyone paying over £30m for him

trouble (& you can pretty much lump every on-sell list player that we have here) is that Paulinha has looked reasonably okay/good in his current team vs our players have not looked good in 2 different systems. Hard to find a "bidding war" scenario.

I don’t think we’ll get anything over £35m for McTominay. But McTominay has been a part of a team that consistently finishes much farther up the league than West Ham.

It’s harder to get into the Man Utd team and be considered a good player than it is getting into West Ham’s team. Nobody cares when Rice has a shit game away to brentford or whoever. Whereas millions of people will moan and create gifs for one misplaced pass by a Man Utd player. Our players get the overly hyped and overly criticised.

In a world where Forest can pay £40m for Gibbs-White, Rice is £105m and Brighton want £80-100m for Caicedo then we should be pushing for a bigger fee than £20m.

Exactly. 15-20 million is how much other clubs get for their unwanted youth players who have made fewer than 20 first team appearances.

McTominay has actually made 144 appearances for United.

Ok so Onana cost £43m, Mount £55m, we are not interested in maybe fees just actual fees paid so far, sky sports hypothetical costs on add ons never achieved are not relevant!

My guess is we did Mount on 5 years terms as we overpaid with only 12 months on his contract by about £10m and probably got a good deal on Onana so the two balance each other out.

United should now Be able to add D Henderson(20m), B Williams(7.5m), A Elanga(15m), M Jurado(1.25m) added to E Laird and Z IQbal, all these players represent net profit on our transfer budget and that figure can be amortised by length of new contracts for players. I think we will get 2 or 3 of these done quickly before the next transfer in, however this £40-45m boost will give us another £150-200m to our original £120m budget which was more likely £170-200m due to new record revenues predicted.

I genuinely believe the club has a budget from £230m-300m Gross spend.

GK - A Onana £43m tick ✔
B/GK - H Suzuki £5m
CB - D Alaba £35m
DM/CM - S Afrobat £25m
ATM - M Mount £55m tick ✔
CFW - R Hojlund £60m
Striker- J Felix £10m loan

The club has other options beside the main targets at CB/CM and a versatile striker but it’s clear now ETH is looking for 6 or 7 new arrivals and he will do whatever it takes to get players out the club he doesn’t fancy that’s why I see the following also going;

H Maguire(30m), Fred (15/20m),
A Telles(10/15m) , E Bailey (5/10m) conclusion we might actually get £80m with all transfers sales towards new players, I think if we sell Mctominay as well we will replace him but I can’t see us selling him due to his Homegrown status.

I have absolutely no idea who he is, but his name is really cool! Imagine having a guy in your team named Afrobat :)

Pretty sure Kane is our first choice striker not Hojlund. But looks unlikely we can make that move.

Let Bayern agree a few then offer the same or a little more. Spurs can’t hide behind the ‘we’re not selling’.

Yeah but that's because we've been playing him in the wrong position. Slide him as a box to box 8 and he'd be way better. He's an energetic 8 that can strike the ball well, who can also help in defense. For non-stop sides he'd probably be way more successful

Can they just refuse to sell to a rival? Even if they’ve agreed a similar fee with another club.

I'm obviously not comparing West Ham and Man Utd, but Rice was their best player and most important member of their team. Of course it's not an easy task to make your way from the academy into the 1st team at United (only him and Rashford have done that in recent years) and I personally think McT is a very decent player, just not good enough if you want to compete with the best, unlike Rice. I'd take him at Nantes without hesitation :D
With good negotiations you could probably fetch 30M but you'd probably need a couple more clubs involved. The good thing as I said my previous post is that he's affordable, even french clubs could pay his wages.

Hopefully this gets done quickly now. Forest had opened talks a couple of times already and the delay seems to be on our side.

Of course they can, we could offer 100million and Bayern 50p and they can accept Bayern's offer if they were daft enough to do so

But Kane could also turn around and say accept united's offer as I'm not going to Bayern and I'll leave on a free next year, so it is a bit of poker game at the moment.

Of course he could but at that point he's no longer a Spurs player so they wouldn't be selling him

I meant he could tell spurs that he is only ever going to United, so they either sell him to us now for a fair price, or he will join us for free next year. With only one year left on the contract, spurs no longer hold all the cards. That said, I have a feeling he is OK going to Bayern, and that is where he will end up this year. Hojlund on the other hand wants to play for us, and will push Atalanta to accept our bid.
