Oh Jesus Christ just make a fecking decision already. I get the feeling the level of posturing they’re doing with this official announcement and some press releases about him means they’re bracing themselves for the worst which means he’s staying.

Not at all, it's not a discussion it's a tweet and there's nothing more to discuss on it, it's simply an update. Similar to the one the moderators will post in the official Greenwood thread.

The post itself won’t but it will inadvertently promote discussion, just look at the post below.

Agreed, but even if we keep him, he didn't play a competitive game in a long time. From football perspective, it should be irrelevant as it doesn't hold much football value, especially now when season kicked off.

It's a distraction, afer another distraction, and it's not looking healthy for the main aim, which is improving the squad and current form.

City's no. 6 is fleeter-footed and younger, plus at least one of the full-backs or one of the CBs tucking in/stepping up to support him, and their number 10s are positionally smarter (or coached/forced to be). That's when they actually play with 10s; Gundogan played as 8 a lot of the time- Rodri is playing alongside Kovacic now; De Bruyne is a hybrid 8/10, who can also play on wing, and switches between right mid and centre to dictate play, as far as i can tell.

They did used to play with David Silva and De Bruyne alongside Fernandinho. What we are trying is much more reminiscent of that than City’s current midfield.

It sounds like from the athletic article the delay is due to waiting for the female players to return from the World Cup.

It's actually saying a lot if you read between the lines.

Absolutely this. If you read it a few times, it’s very clear what decision will be made. This is laying the groundwork for the official word.

Even after reading it the first time it is very clear. But still similar to the club sales process. For months the rumours are that Qatar have won, but still no official update.

That update is from the same category of update as the sale ones.
Because the decision ultimately hinges on the sale. Glazers will keep the asset and leave the buyers to determine whether to discard it or not.

Thanks Maz, can't ban me now without banning you as well
I didn’t mean you for christ sakes

The very fact the no update, update, promotes discussion will lead to warning points and bans for those that discuss it. Not you!

Liverpool have settled on Wataru Endo now, so unless they need two experienced DMs, I doubt they'll spend their money on Amrabat as well.

Reckon Endo is signed merely as a squad player to replace Henderson and Liverpool going for another, higher profile DM to replace Fabinho, as none of the two departures were planned.

Dither is such an accurate word to describe us.

Absolute insanity that they've investigated for over a year, and they're only now talking to key stakeholders including the women's team? What the actual feck have they been doing for a year?
The only thing that makes sense is that they are doing the final checks before the shitstorm which might come because they have decided to integrate him.

There is another thread on here with Liverpool are a mess i am starting to think we are not far behind with our own mess.

Eric Bailly a un accord avec Manchester United pour partir libre Fulham est intéressé
Le défenseur central a refusé Besiktas
Il a des portes de sortie en Arabie Saoudite et en Turquie

Éric Bailly has an agreement with Manchester United to leave free

Don't believe what is said in the statement, its a hash piece they've quickly bodged together as Crafton had emailed outting the decision.

It's evident the club have made up their mind and don't want to announce it as we have three players in the women's WC, which if we take the spotlight away from their achievement, that would definitely piss them off.

It went from a potential 7/10 if we sign Amrabat and get rid of Maguire and McTominay to 3/10 with none of these things happening. Murtough is proving to be a bigger clown than Woodward.
Can't sell players if they won't agree to go.

Blame is on Woodward for the stupid contracts he gave out.

I agree with your post in regards to Maguire but not McTominay. Scott is on affordable wages and 30m was a very reasonable offer (despite what many say on here). Murtough or whoever makes the decisions has overplayed our hand and West Ham have moved on.

I also believe we should have accepted 20m for Maguire if it meant that West Ham could make up wages. Looks like we're stuck with both and no more incomings.

We can’t be done in the market yet, surely.

If we are done then Ten Hag just needs to concentrate on securing Champions League football again for next season. I don’t see how we can expect anything more than that at this stage.

If we finish outside of the Champions League spots I personally wouldn’t want him to get sacked as I genuinely believe he is the right manager, but there will certainly be pressure on him.

He needs to do what he can until the takeover happens and then we’ll really get to challenge for the title IMO, but until then, no chance.

I really hope not. Madness otherwise.

I agree, even had we brought in another CB and DM I’d still have us in a tough battle for top 4. Nothing more. Without them I’m going for 5th at best.

Think there might be a huge reality bite this season and yeah let’s pray we have new owners by next summer otherwise rinse and repeat…

Essentially, were signing nobody in defence now that Maguire has priced himself out of a move by demanding £15m to leave. We're also digging nobody in midfield unless we sell McTom I think. Don't think VdB will get enough money in to allow us to buy.

Wouldn't VdB and Fred going allow us to buy?

How is this figure growing every day? How much will he be demanding tomorrow, 100m?

The hatred some people have of Maguire causes them to injure their head so significantly they can't read through the blood in their eyes.
