If I were in charge of Arsenal, I would take him for that amount. They are guaranteed C.L-football, and they will basically be buying a chance at winning the league. They are so paper-thin up top, 1-2 injuries and they are in serious problems. With Felix, they should be safe.

Really crap sensible transfers from them this time. Basically suggested two forwards that we'd never be able to afford currently (Osi and Abraham) and a CM who just signed a new deal to 2027. Also, weird interpretation of the stats to suit their narrative on Abraham - he's getting into good positions, but having a run of bad form. Could also just mean he's profligate.

Throughout the analysis and suggestion of Abraham, I kept shaking my head. Abraham has not been consistent throughout his career. He is not going to all of a sudden turn into a Haaland. As you said, Osimhen is unattainable especially mid-season. Napoli are leading Serie A. De Laurentiis is never going to sell him in the mid season window.

Thuram though is a good suggestion imo, he's someone I believe is worth taking a punt on, if its around the 20m-25m mark.

Agree on everything, Thuram was the only decent one. Usually they're much better than that, so was a disappointing watch.

Out of contract in july, so we could get him on a free then. If the club was interested.

I read that Vlahovic would like a move here also. He or Thuram would be perfect now. Martial is a shit CF . Not one shot on goal against Wolves.

I think we're going to see a lot more players fancying a move to United over the next few years. If EtH keeps on his current trajectory and is backed by new owners we will be serious title contenders next season. Wouldn't that be lovely eh?

I thought the price for Thuram was said to be around €12-13m. As others have said he’s out of contract in June. Gladbach sold Zakaria for something like €6m last Jan with the his contract expiring.

Tier 1:

The news is that the parties involved in this situation do not rule out that he could stay at Atlético de Madrid.

Note that this is only the case for January. Things can change in the summer, but for now, the club isn't necessarily pushing out Félix. Much of that noise is coming from Jorge Mendes's end.

Unfortunately, we're competing against Bayern Munich for his signing (Tier 2).

Transfers: Bayern Munich interested in Randal Kolo Muani

Frankfurt's French international centre-forward is attracting interest from Manchester United this winter, but especially from Bayern Munich, the player's priority for the summer

Translation:

  • Kolo Muani would prefer to stay in the Bundesliga for now.
    • Frankfurt also prefer to keep him until the end of the season.
  • Bayern Munich don't necessarily have an offer readied up like United, but they prefer a summer transfer.

Tier 2:

Enzo Fernández: Chelsea want to pay 25% of the transfer now and split the rest of the clause in 2 or 3 instalments. Benfica, in principle, want the full amount immediately. Negotiations continue. Manchester United have their eye on the player, but have yet to make a move

Summarised translation:

Basically, United are hoping that Benfica don't accept any of Chelsea's offers this month. They'll wait until the summer before making an offer to Benfica. Enzo, however, is happy enough with moving to Chelsea in January and has even missed a couple of Benfica's training sessions according to Record.

For those wondering by Bruno Andrade used the word "clause" instead of referring to the €127m amount, I think Chelsea are offering the remaining €7m to cover the fees to Jorge Mendes.

Thanks to @IFC 1905 in the Enzo Fernández thread (Tier 2):

Enzo Fernández has a contractual agreement with Chelsea. His entourage is waiting for Benfica and Chelsea to agree on the form of payment.
The sale will be around 120 million euros.
River will earn around 30 million euros.
It has to be resolved in the next few hours.

Summarised translation:

This may explain why Record have reported Enzo missing the last two training sessions.

La Repubblica are unreliable. I wouldn't put much stock into this. BILD, which is slightly more reliable, have also been incredibly speculative about Thuram's future. I don't think there's anything to this until someone more reliable reports on it.

There's a reason no other popular United aggregator's Tweeting about this. mufcmpb is incredibly speculative and loves to engage in fake news from time to time, which is why they're banned on the Caf.

Tier 1:

  • The €127m fee will be paid in 3 installments (approx. €40m each).
  • Benfica are closing in on Carloz Alcaraz (recently linked to Wolves) for 16-17 million Euros.

Sensible. Don’t hinder his progress by slapping him on the bench
If ETH actually doesn't trust him enough at this stage to compete with Antony, then it's the right choice. With the issues Jadon Sancho's been having, and Elanga's limited skillset (and the Everton interest, through which we might even be able to cover our striker loan/ Thuram purchase), I think this might be one of ETH's rare miscalculations, along with not blooding Zidane for 15 mins or so in competitive games which we're winning by a couple ( i.e. Forest).

Antony doesn't need to be flash every game, but he needs to be more incisive in terms of attacking full backs and getting better percentage crossing positions/crosses or on the diagonal cutting in to play the quick one-twos, and Diallo could now be in a position to put pressure on him.

Yeah needs some reliable sources on this

Still speculation at this point but if I had to choose i'd prefer for us to push the boat out and sign Kolo Muani. Much more to him from a skill and physicality standpoint than Thuram.

We aren't paying £50 odd million now

Chelsea spending mental money. After their summer spree, they’ve since added Badiashile for 33m, Nkunku for 57m, and now Enzo for 127m. That’s 217m more. And in the summer they signed who? Koulibaly (35m), Fofana (80m), Sterling (55m), Cucurella (65m), Chukwuemeka (20m), Casadei (13m), Aubameyang (10m), and Solina (8m), that’s 286m. And now another 217. That’s half a billion in one season.

And they’re crap.

That’s some accomplishment.

That's a whole new team they've signed. I think you missed a second Fofana, but what's a cheap Fofana between friends.

£16 million for a loan for 5 months . Are you actually been serious ?
We will lose £22 million in reduced Adidas sponsorship alone, not to mention millions in UCL payments, if we miss top 4 and Champions League, so if Felix makes the difference between top 4 and not top 4, that £16 million will be a bargain.

Need to see the context. It's not as simple as "OMG 16 million for a loan!". But unfortunately our owners also don't get it, so I reckon there is 0.05% chance for us signing Felix.
