DADDY I WANT MORE SHINY TOYS, WAH WAH WAH, GIMME MORE GIMME MORE MORE MORE!

NO NOT THOSE SHINY TOYS! I WANT THOSE OTHER ONES!! WAH WAH WAH GIMME GIMME!

You do realise Manutd finished 6th last season, many called it the worst United ever seen?

Since then we have lost players and signed 2 backups and a CB.

We have ignored our midfield since Carrick and we could end up with 1 CF in Martial.

The season starts next week.

For all the talk of negativity the toxic positivity from the "top reds" is far far worse, whatever happened to attack the message and not the poster?

At least any negativity is based on tangible reality, Brighton is in 9 days and these muppets have been chasing a player for 12 weeks who ALWAYS maintained from day one he didn't want to leave.

Wrap it up however way you want that's 12 weeks they should have used to prevent McFred being our starting midfield, Dalot our starting RB or Martial starting CF.

Not really worth using logic with someone too stupid to comprehend it

Don't bother, if you have the audacity to point out what a farce this transfer window has been you'll just be met with laughing smilies or some sarcastic comment about how negative you are.

Serious question do you think the squad we currently have is good enough for a top 4 challenge? City, Pool, Spurs, Arse and Chelsea are much, much stronger on paper. Ten Hag is being set up to fail.

Don't do it mate. It's not worth it with him.

Yet the same muppets moved on from Timber once it became clear he wasn't moving as he wanted to protect his international spot and straight onto Martinez who they wrapped up pretty quickly. I think you're being a bit naive or simply want to believe any negative media speculation. If you think De Jong's agent has told United 100% his client won't be moving to United, you're most likely very wrong.

The relevant part:
How did Luke Southwood's loan signing come about when you had agreed to sign Man United's Matej Kovar?
Luke was one we went to in the summer. We didn't think it was do-able. Obviously, Matej was due to come in, but that fell through on Wednesday. To be fair to Micky (Moore), he has played a bit of a blinder this week. He has managed to get Luke done and I am not sure how he managed to get it done as quickly as he did. Even Ryan Jackson, our requirements on wing-back have changed over the past week, so we'd been in dialogue with Ryan for a long time, but when our requirements shifted, Micky was able to act on it really quickly, so that's credit to him and how he's on top of the market.

What happened with the Matej Kovar situation?
At the moment, the club won't let him out and they are keeping him in, which is out of our control and that's obviously their prerogative.

We could have had Bissouma and Ruiz for peanuts this window. They would have been a fantastic and cheap McFred upgrade. :(

Porto are not interested in Alex Telles. Any approach by the Blues and Whites for the Brazilian full-back is completely false. Porto are not in the market for a left-back.

Translation:

Supposedly he’s available for a cut price deal as well - I’m sure I read he’s between the £20-30m mark (but could be massively wrong).

He only has a year left on his contract so makes sense he is available cheaper.

United will move big for Anthony either in January or more than likely next summer and because of this I'll be surprised if United were to make a move for a RW in this window. Plus, Sancho has looked terrific on that side in pre-season.

Might mean Matej impressed enough in pre-season to be trusted as 3rd choice.
Sounds similar to Bishop. Loan agreed with Wycombe weeks ago but still not completed for some reason.
Kovar's currently in the squad that's going to Oslo for the Rayo Vallecano Atletico Madrid match, so he definitely has a chance. Bishop hasn't been involved in the first team, so I don't know what's going on with him, but Kovar seems to be in ten Hag's radar, which is good to see.

As a Wycombe fan, I can't tell you how edgy our fans are getting.
Stockdale (ex Fulham and England keeper) nobbed off to Sheff Wed, and we'll be playing kids otherwise if this hasn't happened in time :wenger:

If our transfer team had any sense they would have lined up 2 alternatives to FDJ already, so the MOMENT he inevitably accepts a pay cut at Barca we can sign an alternative. Instead we're pinning all our hopes on him, and will be left scrabbling around when it gets confirmed that FDJ is staying put.

How do you know what is really going on? Got a source or just believe journos?

I would slightly disagree with this, only bc I think ETH is a better manager than Ole/Rangnick. Just by having him as manager puts the club in a better position than what they were at the end of last season.

To be fair-- that isn't saying much, bc United were pretty much a dumpster fire at the end of last season. I'm also of the opinion that it's going to take 1 full year of the players learning ETH's system before we start to see some improvement, so I am not expecting much this season to begin with. Once again, everyone on here has different expectations on what is considered a successful season for the club. Year 2 is when I fully expect to see some proper improvement in terms of the on pitch performance.
Agree fully. Unfortunately a big portion of our support are expecting miracles

I do think that we’re good enough to challenge.

There’s lots of work to do but we definitely have improved, Sancho revitalised, Martial playing really well, Dalot has improved. ETH will surprise a lot of people.

There’s still plenty of time yet for more signings and this dick riding of City, Liverpool needs to stop, they’re having just a slow a window as us.

There’s literally no need to panic. (shades of my award winning thread here in this post but we’ll see)

I think you will be shocked to find Malacia and Eriksen won’t be backups. Erik wants plays he knows, players he can trust and players that play the way he wants to play.

I agree completely. I’ve generally been known as a negative poster [joined when OgS was in charge & never rated him] but some of the posts this Summer have been extreme.

We just paid £50+ mil on a CB from his previous club, are getting dicked about by the same club for their winger & are being made to look like absolute idiots over FdJ. Having a poor window doesn’t automatically equate to not backing the manager.
You could argue they are backing him too much. It was him that said FDJ or no one. So they are waiting to the very last day on that one.
not that I particularly disagree with him, I don’t think that there’s a whole lot of talent out there for DM at the moment. We’d be buying just for the sake off it

Eriksen backup? He’ll be in our team

as will Martinez

as will the young “backup” left back unless Shaw pulls his socks up

Seems too quick for Sesko, we've bypassed the entire preparing a bid phase and all the usual foreplay...???

You're not wrong of course. But, we also made one huge signing that you didn't mention, and I think (hope/pray) that it will prove to be a hugely influential signing.

ETH appears to be a great manager and I think he is going to be able to get improved performances from the squad. We still could be massively improved and I would be absolutely giddy as a school girl if we are able to sign Frenkie, but even if we don't I think we will finish higher than 6th. Might not be as high as some are expecting but there will be an improvement in performances.

I hope.
