Why ? Would his value drop a lot in 6 months even if he doesn't get to play a lot. We could just as well keep him here so ETH could evaluate him, and then possibly sell him 6 or 12 months.
Not with our lack of midfield for me I would suggest he stays he might even break in sooner rather than later.

I am not insinuating Garner's value will be at risk of dropping, all I am saying is, if an opportunity arises, during the summer transfer window, and a club offers a good fee for Garner, then the United should sell and use the funds to increase the transfer budget and get a striker/forward .
Again, ETH might actually think Garner is a good option for the squad and will get plenty of minutes, then if that is the case, then yes it's good to keep Garner around.
My point is more to if an opportunity arises, that's all, I am not suggesting the club to actively find a buyer for Garner.
Didn’t Telles cost something similar. Also signed as a replacement to cover Shaws injury issues. Which Shaw then miraculously recovered from for long enough to consign Telles to the bench for long enough for him to turn to shit. I expect a similar trajectory for Malacia.

Telles didn't turn to shit, he was shit in most of his appearances in 20/21. His game time also hasn't been much different in his two seasons at United.

De Jong doesn’t actually really want to come, simply put if a Barca stay was an option he would be staying there. I’m sure he’ll come and make the right noises and whilst it goes well he’ll be fine. If it doesn’t, that’s when it actually matters whether the player really has the club at heart or not. Plus, he’s not actually all that, he’s a decent midfielder. Worth £70m? Maybe, maybe not, I don’t think we’ll look back on him as a steal. He’ll fall into that Fred category of being plausibly priced for what we actually get.
Martinez? The isssue is his height. And not necessarily his alone, but our teams in general. You could probably carry a small centre half if you’ve got height throughout the rest of the side. We won’t have much next season when you think about our possible line ups if we’re going to use the new players. Most of ours has either left, is currently in the process of trying to leave or will be replaced in the side by the new guys. We’re already a liability at set pieces, replacing one of our centre halves with another who is weak at aerial duels, whilst having a keeper who is terrified of coming of his line doesn’t seem like a great combo to me.
Malacia won’t get much game time if shaws fit. Because Shaw is simply the better player. You may be a Shaw hater, if so we’ll have to agree to disagree and see who’s right next season. However, Telles has turned to shite, and we do need a backup, but it wasn’t a priority for me. We needed a starting RB before we addressed left back.
Eriksen will be our best player next season. Getting him on a free will be the best bit of business we’ve done in years.
Dybala will be a disaster. He’s scorned us in the past and is not the player he was a couple of years ago. I genuinely hope he goes to arsenal.
Clubs focus should be on getting him out ASAP

I agree with the second point. Although he also doesn't really have to leave, he can stay on lower wages. If he doesn't do that, then he's motivated enough to play for another team - he won't be the first to do it. I honestly think he'll be more Carrick-esque. Not flashy, but essential to our system.
I agree with your points on the height of the team but I'm never against getting better, more technical players in the squad. We have too many average and below players.
I'm excited by Malacia and Eriksen. The latter will obviously be a more instant impact but I think Malacia will surprise us - though it's not too difficult to be better than Shaw.
Lastly, I don't want Dybala. He doesn't fit in my opinion and is very injury prone. But I'll trust the manager on that one.

This is already a huge fee for Antony. If Ajax turn it down, I hope we don't pursue this any further. ETH evidently wants him a lot this season. I still have some reservations for this sort of money. Pressure on him will be huge in the media.
