Romans got deep pockets. What's the big mystery?
Their owner is one of the richest men in the world and Chelsea are not in the business to be profitable so they couldn't care less about big expenditure. City and Chelsea will easily outspend everyone else this summer.
Try the £1.3 billion they owe Roman??

People talk about United debt, no one ever discusses the fact that Chelsea have the biggest debt out of every club in the world.

There is the issue of FFP though, which hasn't been abandoned yet. I'm quite aware they have a wealthy owner.

It is definitely a move about Azpi. He has been getting gassed in matches down the stretch.

I would think the owners know more about the proposed changes to FFP, but if it is a tax after the limit, clubs with deep pockets will just calculate the limit tax into moves.

The regulations could also bring about the 'introduction of a salary cap, to be disguised as a luxury tax to ensure compliance with European regulations.'

Each side would therefore have to abide by a total spending limit for the playing staff for each specific club, but it has yet to be announced how that will be calculated.

They were doing this during FFP and it will only get worse.

Chelseas 'debt' is actually in a holding company, so strictly speaking Chelsea can be bankrolled by Roman willfully.

Which is the reason why they can easily spend despite having a very poor cash flow.

Wasn't FFP eased because of covid-19? Either way its not effected how City, PSG or Chelsea operate in the transfer market.

City is at least still under investigation by PL on this. Doubt it’ll get anywhere though

Rough Translation: Romain Perraud of Stade Brest in in talks with Southampton, although there is no agreement yet. Another team which is unnamed (although I've seen Leeds mentioned) is also rumored to be in talks for him too with a 10 million euro fee.

I'd be personally sickened (from a Brest perspective) to see him leave as he's currently their best player, a left back. His first half to the season in particular was good, as was last season. He was named in the team of the year by France Football I expected it though, he's certainly a few levels above the rest of the team who basically collapsed in the second half of the season. I think I mentioned him on here before as someone who I could possibly see in the Premier League one day. A Southampton or Leeds would certainly fit the bill.

Georginio Wijnaldum on leaving Liverpool:
I am still emotional because at that moment you realise: It was my last game for Liverpool. Also, the fact that before me, many players left who didn’t get something like that makes it special for me.

There are many supporters who ask me why I didn’t just accept the offer from Liverpool to extend my contract. But of course, it’s not just that. It’s about much more than that. There are things happening behind the scenes that you cannot influence as a player. I will explain that after the tournament, because now only Orange counts.

What I do want to say is that the people at the training complex, the staff of the club and my fellow players would have liked to keep me. I did tell them a bit more. After that, they understood my decision completely. That is important to me.

Looks a pretty good young talent from clips

Stats suggest he dribbles a lot, with more successful than unsuccessful but mixed results but had Lanus' most shots per 90 mins and most shots on target. Would seem like a coup for Fiorentina if they can get that one over the line

Normally this time of year we get linked with every man and his dog, apart from the usual Sancho and Varane rumors it seems quiet

Focus is on the Euros at the moment. Non-playing personnel (chairmen, agents) are probably on holiday.

Both Kimpembe and Coman were having a chat about Paris just when Pogba pops in. Kimpembe then mentions Nasser al-Khelaifi before saying that they'll talk about the "mercato" (i.e. transfer window) soon. Pogba pauses for a second, looking uncomfortable, and then saying, "No," walking away in the process.

Gerson's an interesting midfielder. He's the kind of player who looks like he can become a nice deep-lying playmaker, but he drifts way too much in games and, more often than not, barely makes an impact. His time at Brazil with Flamengo has been fruitful, so I can understand if another European club wants to take a chance on him.

And when they first started spending big when Roman took over, and again every time they win the league.
Well since he took over they’ve won won 5 premier leagues, 5 FA cups, 3 league cups, 2 champions leagues and 2 Europa Leagues. The only competition we’ve been more successful in during that period is the league cup. Maybe no dynasty, but that’s a damn impressive stretch, and realistically it probably would have been if not for City getting bought out.
