Juventus also at work on the double front second and third goalkeeper: Perin will not stay. Goal: monetize [on Perin]. In the next few days, the future of Pinsoglio [will be resolved]

Perin, unfortunately, wasn't able to handle the pressure at Juventus despite being a good goalkeeper (sort of like Henderson for us on occasions or Foster before him). However, he's looking much better for Genoa, so Juventus want to make some money off of him. Pinsoglio is a decent backup keeper (like Grant before or Heaton for next season), and I think they'd rather keep him around as Szczesny's backup instead of Perin.

Moreover, I can't imagine that they take back the promise they made to Sancho of him being allowed to leave if somebody offers enough. Nor do I think that they would sell both in one window. So maybe the Haaland deal will only be accepted if the Sancho deadline has run out without anybody paying up. But it's all just speculation in the end.
Indeed it is, and it's why I'm happy to speculate as long as we realise that it's all just our own inferences. :)

Back on topic: I do think that they'd loosen up on Haaland a bit if United were to have completely given up on Sancho, but even then, they'd still need a new striker. Moukoko's nowhere near ready to lead the line regularly, and I'm not sure if Rose necessarily plans to have either Reus or Sancho play the Stindl false 9 role without goalscorers on either side.

If reports are to be believed they they did make the best offer they could possibly make and then Donnarumma decided to turn it down, because he could get a better offer elsewhere and it appears he did. No lesson was learned.
Reports will swing both ways, Raiola will almost certainly feed outlets with his spin. I'm just going by what the club have stated. If we assume they did politely tell him to do one, I think it sets a good precedent, regardless of whether he joins a big club on a fee.

Yeah, I can see the different between the release clause and a potential offer being too good for Dortmund. If that was the case, then wouldn't Watzke have given out hints indicating this? Last summer, with Sancho, he was very clear about a possible sale. With Haaland, however, he's been the exact opposite.

Regardless, we haven't seen them linked to any new strikers. Last summer, when Sancho was leaving, Dortmund was getting linked to several players who they were monitoring, with Ikoné being one of them. This summer, however, I've yet to read about them being linked to a striker from more reliable sources (in or outside of Germany). Does that not give us an idea of Dortmund's plans for next season (i.e. keep Haaland)? Maybe in the next few days/weeks, we'll see more stories come out depending on how Chelsea's talks fare (with Haaland's camp, mainly).

If I remember correctly Dortmund's officials didn't say anything directly on Sancho until the deadline passed. With Haaland on one hand they needed to say something, because press gossiping became disruptive and on the other hand the money it would take to buy him this summer is probably such a silly figure that they honestly don't expect anyone to offer it and that turned out to be wrong they wouldn't have trouble explaining it.

That being said Dortmund, as probably all clubs, are constantly monitoring tons of players and press reports aren't necessarily a good indicator of what's happening behind the scenes. The Ikone link in particular was rubbished by the player's brother I believe. I'm sure they would already know who to approach if anything were to happen.

Yeah, Dortmund's approach for Ikoné was indeed rubbished (also by Ruhr Nachrichten a while back), but I wouldn't be surprised if they're indeed monitoring him (just like United are with Cristian Romero, for example).

And of course, we won't always know who Dortmund are monitoring, but I'm just surprised that someone like Patrick Berger hasn't talked about who Dortmund could be monitoring when he did so for the keepers, for example.

Anyone got a pdf of his contract?

Because the media seem to have some conflicting numbers of said clause.

The truly fun part is that the €75m figure everyone is copying came from Bild as well.
Is there any talk about a new contract being signed raising the clause? If Haaland isn’t leaving this year anyway then an extra 100k a week to him for the year and a further 20m to the clause might suit everyone.

For me, the story started to make sense when I figured in that the release clause may have risen due to contractual conditions fulfilled - number of goals scored, number of games/CL games played, something like that.

As for a Chelsea sale, it's not going to happen.

Also:
  • Everton were inquiring about Nuno, but Palace are in the lead at the moment.
  • Andros Townsend, Gary Cahill, Scott Dann, and Joel Ward are among several players who CP have released.
  • Nuno will have a major role in the squad overhaul.

Héctor Bellerín has an offer from Villarreal. Sevilla is also following him. The player's priority is to go to Spain or Italy.

EDIT: English Tweet

Well at this point it's just some English journalist telling his stories, it's not at the point where suddenly every journalist in Europe gives dailys updates, they are still waiting for corroboration. And infact I don't think there have been too many reports about Sancho replacements yet either.

That's right, and I'm personally okay with that. The fact that none of the more reliable German outlets are necessarily reporting on Haaland makes me think that this is still at its very, very early stages. With that said, I would expect maybe one or two striker links to surface to Dortmund if there indeed was even a slight chance at Haaland being sold. Whilst you're right about the lack of links pertaining to Sancho, at least we had some names thrown out.

I typically don't post Tweets like this, but this gives us a decent idea of Alavés's desire for Pellistri to continue with them.
  • Everything depends on United's willingness to loan Pellistri. If he does, then multiple clubs will be interested.
  • Alavés will look to bid strongly in order to secure him on loan.
    • They didn't necessarily pay the full amount that United wanted from them for the last 6 months.
  • Other clubs interested
    • Various British clubs
    • Club Brugge (who tried to get him in January)
  • Alavés expect their competitors to pay the full price in order to secure Pellistri on loan.
  • Alavés have seemingly secured an agreement with Pellistri himself to bring him back on loan.
Basically, we're going to make a decent amount of money on Pellistri, and the player himself will have a chance at being valued by whichever club gets him.

Would be a great appointment for Palace imo.

The guy can build a team and instil a style and mindset. He won’t have the funds Wolves had in the past though so the test will be for him to work with what he has. There’s a big difference between the likes of Jimenez and Benteke.

If I was to get a phone call from someone at Arsenal and they said they’d like a meeting tomorrow, then it would be easier that way. They can tell me whether they’ve got plans to play me in the future or if they want to sell me. I’ve heard they want to make some space [in the squad] and some money so I’m not sure.

I want a decision. I want some clarity. And then hopefully I can get to work with whoever I need to get to work with. Whether that is finding a new club or whether that is carrying on with my training. I would like some kind of indication of what is happening. Where they [Arsenal] see me. If it works out it works out, if it doesn’t then kiss Arsenal goodbye. It’s been a long journey but a proud one at that. Maybe they still want to do something and things could change. If not, there’s always other teams. It would be easier to do it now than waiting for pre-season to kick in and everything is super busy. And they can’t answer their phones because they are doing too much work. You know how the football world works.
...
You have to get your head around what you might not want to hear and be prepared if that’s the case,” he says. “Be a man about the situation. If it’s not going to work there then there’s always other clubs that will take you and I like to think that I’ve done enough in the Premier League in the last half of the season to have other clubs interested in me.

The rest of the interview's a great read, too.

Wasnt he leaving Wolves to go back to Portugal?

Leeds can still appeal, but if the ruling goes through, then Leeds have to pay 21 million Euros to RB Leipzig for Jean-Kévin Augustin as part of a purchase obligation clause in Augustin's contract for his Leeds loan spell. For more info, check out this free Athletic article.

Despite some interest from England, Inter are keen on keeping Young. The players appreciate his presence and want to keep him in their dressing room.

I wonder if this also enables Augustin to sue Leeds, if there was an obligation to buy they must have already agreed a followup contract with him. Which is probably way better than what he's getting from Nantes.

Sure it was reported he'd convinced Wjinaldumn to join PSG... so confusing.

Conte wanted Morata at Juve, but still left before ever coaching Morata for Juve, because his fall out with Juve board over other transfers. Juve board approved Morata signing because he fits their plan. The manager only has certain influence in that model.

This can be similar. Wjinaldum may want to work with Poch vice versa, but ultimately the double wage offer is the key. If he has his heart set for Barcelona, and playing for Koeman (good relationship), he wouldn't have changed his mind, nor leaving Liverpool where he's also appreciated. He has a good career winning a PL and CL. He's just taking care of himself now at end of his career.

Dortmund aren't going to sell Haaland this summer. They've been firm on that front and Haaland himself said he respected their decision.

And we know that when Dortmund say something, they mean it.
I remember Watzke made same stance on Gundogan and Mkhitaryan in same summer before they leave. The infamous chair throwing Riaola meme born then. Similar Dembele got sold after Dortmund again claimed, he's not leaving. Not saying this would go that way, but there is always possibility if the offer is good enough. I meant if Dortmund can cash him in for much better fee now, than losing him out to a set not so high release clause in one year time, they would have double thought.

We seem to take Sancho deal as gospel of how Dortmund would act, where it feels like we didn't want to pay what Dortmund asked last summer. Throwing silly money, then it may be different story.

Who knows?

The rest of the interview's a great read, too.

With all the bodies on the way out in midfield, giving him an extension and proper gametime next season would not be the worst idea.

Yet. Laugh all you want now, but when City snap up Kane and Chelsea Haaland, no one will be laughing. Well run teams like City/Chelsea dont dither with transfers like we do. Let's just say its a fear based on previous United transfer activity over the last 15 years, and I'm just paranoid its gonna happen. All of us here are basing our discussions on perceived future transfer deals that have not happened...yet.

Last transfer season kinda broke me :(
By well run, do you mean financed by oil and able to things no other club (excluding PSG) could ever do? That's not well run, where's the PL's FFP?
