City's salary structure

375k officially and the same in an offshore account.

"Happy with terms"! we offered him 350k£ per week probably.

@Damien Should this be a banned source? I see that you've banned the founder, so by default, this should also be banned, right? I went through the video in the Tweet, and they didn't cite any source for the Nuñez term agreement claims.

Sounds like nonsense.
And why would somebody Like Romano who is hardly in loop when it comes to Matters pertaining to United Know that , if the likes of Stones, Ornstein, Whitwell or Ducker Starts reporting it then it's might be concerning .
That quote reads a whole lot like Romano's own deduction than any particular information that he's received from the club. He's expecting us to have a limited budget and is aware that a new striker's one of our highest priorities. Add 2+2, and you get the conclusion that he reached.

I wouldn't typically rely on most of his quotes in these shows/interviews as anything newsworthy. Much of it is him repeating what he's reported in the past with his own views on the matters.

It's funny that the Sky.UK guy gives Bayern meeting with Mane's agent as proof, because funnily enough the agency that represents Mane also works for Gnabry and Laimer, so they must have been in constant contact anyway.

I mean with Brazzo you never know, but if that was being reported by one of the usual suspects from England or by Bild people would probably laugh it out of the room. It's the literal opposite of Bayern's usual transfer strategy, in their entire history they have never paid more than €13m for a 30 year old. The closest they have come is buying Vidal and Hummels when they were 28/27.
And if they go all-in on someone it would probably be a right back or Lewandowski's replacement.
Right, this typically wouldn't make sense, but then I think about Gnabry's situation, and I wonder if Mané's being looked at as an alternative in case Gnabry doesn't renew. We don't necessarily know if Mané's keen on coming over to Bayern, but given that his contract's about to expire next year, I don't see how enquiring about Mané is that unlikely.

EDIT: Looks like you've already covered that part in your most recent post.

I wish aggregators in general did more to cite the actual source rather than put the journalist's Twitter handle on there. In this case, it seems like all of the info's coming from Verweij's Kick-Off podcast that he does with Valentijn Driessen and Pim Sedee. If they aren't going to be posting the source, then we should do more to post the source to accompany the aggregators' Tweets.

How can you prioritise a striker over the midfield with 2 leaving for free and mctominay being a regular starter when we should have quality in depth that has mctominay nowhere near this club.

Going after a forward just shows that ronaldo was a poor transfer and that there is little faith rashford can come good again.

This club seems to be content with mediocrity in all areas of the club.

yeah like we did with Moyes, such wonderful summer that was!

We heard that excuse for years under Woodward. Dont fans ever get tired hearing that? Apparently not.

Not about incoming players unfortunately.

Seems most still dont understand how modern club works, but hey if you think waiting for ETH to sit with Murtough and Fletcher is going to make us landing 5 new players in such short time be my guess...

Agree, this is why we would have been better off putting ralf in the consultancy role straight away to have transfers prepared before the summer because his recruitment record is very impressive.

Surely if the club has some type of clue and long term of what vision and philosophy they want for the club going forward from the youth set up, manager and playing staff then targeting players in harmony with our incoming manager.

Just like ralf i'm again wondering what the hell football director fletcher is doing aside from chilling in the dug out.

Who is Nordi Mukiele?

Quick search:
24yo, Leipzig
Main position: Right-Back
Other position: Centre-Back, Right Midfield

Is he any good?
He's a right back who can also play in a back 3 as the right-sided centre back. He's a more defensive full back who's pretty good higher up the pitch with his good close control and crosses, so don't expect him to play like a wing back.

None of this really matters as Santi Aouna isn't that reliable in general.

So should we just buy any player that is available without consulting the manager?

How difficult is it to speak to the manager coming in? It’s really not that hard. No need to wait until he’s at Old Trafford ffs.

Ten Hag is not focused at United at this time. He's fully focused on winning the Eredivisie with Ajax, so even if United wanted to, they wouldn't have been able to eke out any info from him.

If they were to proceed with his input, then, at best, the signings have a 50/50 chance of being a hit. Ten Hag himself also wants to be involved in the transfers as he was at Ajax, so he won't be happy if we signed players without getting him involved. With that said, once Ajax's season ends, Ten Hag will get involved with United much sooner than Moyes was.

Can you really see ten Hag wheeling and dealing for United whilst he's still Ajax manager? I'm pretty sure whenever the Dutch league is done he'll be in regular contact with United even it be before his official start date.

Aren't you at all happy that United are leaving those decisions fully to the manager?

We are in this mess because we have given all managers the say in recruitment. It’s been a total disaster. Had we tried to be consistent with a style of football and managerial appointments we wouldn’t need a major overhaul every 3 years. Instead we went from total football under LVG, defensive football under José, countering attacking football under Ole. It’s a complete mess. A decent director of football stops this from happening. Same mistakes still being made again. I’m going to give up on this club if we don’t act this summer.

Who's their source?

Non.

It's Reddit ITK bollocks.

Some American lads doing a cringey as feck podcast where they talk about transfer information from their sources. Then their mum walks in and tells them to take out the trash.

City singing Haaland and other big name players moving this summer will give United the itch to pull the trigger on someone we don’t need. I actually think United will sign Kane this summer and will prioritise someone like him over a new midfield. Knowing our board this is well within the realms of possibility.

Chill. They won't do that.

Liked him when he was at Montpellier, has hardly progressed since. A lot of lazy links by the looks of it.
You could well be right, however the number of fullbacks we are being linked to gives me some hope. I'd like to see 2 fullbacks and two CM's along with a striker in the summer personally. It would indicate someone in the decision making process knows where our frailties truly lie.
