Hopefully Ten Hag brings a couple of high quality coaches with him and not just Schteve.

Translation + summary:

Also:
  • Bayern Munich have never brought up a possible contract extension in their recent talks with Lewandowski.
  • Other clubs have concrete interest in Lewandowski, including Barcelona.
  • Lewandowski has yet to tell Bayern Munich that he wants to leave as he's waiting to see what the club's plans are for him.

#mufc and Real Madrid are the two clubs closely following Enzo Fernández. Both clubs have held talks but no formal offer yet. United scouts will be observing him tonight. Release clause of €20m and contract expires in 2025

Way more likely this is City, will end up just like the Alvarez saga

Imagine if Bayern managed to replace Lewa with Haaland.

And we are linked with Sam jOhnstone for £10m, ludicrous. leipzig make a lot of very good young signings. Onl seen him twice, but he has an abundance of ability and presence in the box. Really think he will be a GK with a big fee on his head long before that Leipzig contract expires, would have been a great replacement for Henderson, another quality young player we should have been in for, poor

So we’re paying 10 million for a player who’s out of contract at the end of June? Interesting where did you get that gem from?

I don't know why more teams don't do this with top-level prospects that are getting regular gametime. He's probably not ready to come in and start over Gulacsi immediately, but he's obviously in a great spot to develop as it is and by the time he gets to Leipzig he'll be at a level where he can slot straight into the first XI and be a solid standard for that league.

It feels like most teams in this situation would rather sign a player immediately and then pick where to loan him thinking they know best. Maybe it's easier to do this with GK's as they can probably continue to develop a bit better regardless of the standard of the league in ways outfield players can't, but still it feels like the top clubs are too quick to pull these prospects away from good environments.

Just saw headline as not interesteed really, possibly £10m contract then. Even so Vandervordt is free I believe so same sentiment anyway

Why would Vandevoordt be free?

Reportedly £9m fee for Leipzig so not exactly free. Weird stick to beat Utd with when quite frankly there’s no such thing as a guaranteed prospect and we’ve made a few pints of our own (Mejbri, Kwambala, Diallo and Pellistri) amongst others.

We seem to think highly of Kovar and have De Gea as no1 for the foreseeable. Even if Henderson leaves we’ve got Heaton and possibly Johnstone as perfectly good no2 & no3. We’ll just sign a goalie when we decide to move on from De Gea.

Well they are signing him for 2024 and I see no fee mentioned in any of the reports so am assuming its the end of his current contract, may be wrong?
Bild is quoting around 10 milion euros and I'm pretty sure that approaching a player without club's consent and convincing him to run down 30 months of contract to go on free would result in a massive transfer ban for Leipzig.

I fully agree. Henderson has been a great prospect after his season at Sheffield, but without a clear path to regular first team games both he and the club completely wasted two years after that. I'm not sure how a new goalkeeping prospect would avoid his situation.

Ok maybe I have got the Sam Johnstone and Vandervordt situations wrong which ameks the post a little daft. The poitn was making more so than fees though. If Henderson is to leave and we only have DeGea and Heaton, I feel a young keeper with great potential that is also more a modern keeper and has attributes commanding the area which some criticise DeGea for....so could be competition over the next coupel of years, is surely a more sound investment that signing someone that will only purely be a number two and only ever be a back up.......its actually a step back from Henderson, Vandervordt I feel is already at the same level as Henderson and has the potential to become a world class keeper over the next 2/3years....£10m Euros is nothing. Sides like Leipzig who are far smaller than us are makign lots of really good young signings cheaply.....we are even linked with several of them at the moment (maybe lazy journamilsm due to Ragnic links but still)

Our youngsters may well turn into quality players, but they are different signings, Vandervordt has had regular games for the last season, only Pellestri did of oru signings, we paid more for DIallo, half the fee for Hannibal at 16, not really comparable. Yes I think we are signing some very good youth players, but where are the young players breaking through in the game we used to sign? Dan James?

DOnt get me wrong, the gk situation is the least of our worries, its our first eleven needs improving , we already have a huge squad but we have missed out on several real quality players breaking through to look top players whether we or they were interested is another things altogether but there have been links to Grealish, Camavinga, Romero all top top players breakign through in there oeagues as stars. I only see Sancho as the right signing and Bailly was another that hasnt worked out in the last few seasons, dont think comparing teenagers with barely a game between most of them is actually comparable, they cant come in straight away, as shown from the appearances rightly or wrongly and the loans not workign out so far.

We can talk about tactics, coaching, management, ownership but simply cant et away from a major fact.......our buying and selling of players has been diabolical for the last decade, that is a stick the club needs beatin gwith, well over half a billion been spent very poorly

Would foreign countries be an option again for Reus instead of BVB ? "One should never say never. But I'm very happy to play for Borussia Dortmund, it's a privilege. If you are allowed to end your career here, you are very happy and proud to do so.”

Injured mostly

but I mean, he was injury prone before we chose to sign him so it's hardly a surprise now he's 35

Well hes not available and at this point I am not sure he even wanted to be here this year - fraud is harsh, I take that back, but hes no good to us. Probably played his last game already

I'm not Richarlison's biggest fan, but comments like this are just ignorant.

There were a lot of fans turned their nose up when we were linked with Mane. And can you imagine if we'd have been linked with Jota before he went to Liverpool? It'd have been exactly the same. If players are being identified and targeted for their abilities and we're not just signing so and so because he was good for somebody else, which seems to have been our plan over the last 10 years, then i'm all for it.

As they should be. Pogba's contract offer should have been withdrawn months ago. As if we needed a reminder of our incompetence as a club.

Fabrizio said a few hours ago that this isn't true

There is a contract offer to him since July but it isn't those numbers that mention
