Aubameyang earns £250k/week from Arsenal. I don't think there are too many teams that'd be willing to pay him that much at this time.

Im sure Newcastle would? Not any others though

He is out of form, discipline problems, club is getting fed up with him…. There will not be any teams shopping for those ingredients. If he wants a move, he better hope there is a manager that just loves him and will demand to get him.

Also:
  • Ajax is pushing Gravenberch to renew his contract.
  • Juve depend on their sales in order to potentially acquire Gravenberch.

Do you not understand what thread you’re in?

Something remotely interesting would improve it, rather than endless information about things hardly anyone is interested in.

If that means there is nothing new for a few days, so what. Better than getting excited about an alert and finding out it's more irrelevant information.

You need to get out more.

I got excited by an alert in Twitter thread on caf.

Yes, it is true that Newcastle are interested in Kieran Trippier as reported in England and it is true that Atlético is open to negotiation but nothing advanced yet. The parties will have to discuss it.

Also covered in this McGrath article:
  • United are monitoring potential midfield additions in case Pogba leaves.
    • Pogba is still undecided on his future.
  • Burnley are in talks with Ben Mee to extend his contract.
  • Burnley want to keep James Tarkowski for the rest of the season and risk losing him for free than cashing in on him in January (contract expires next summer).
  • Trippier is Newcastle's #1 target.
    • Personal terms are straightforward once the fee is agreed with Atletico Madrid.

Haidara on the United links and United being his favourite team:
Everyone had a favorite team as a kid. Mine was Manchester United. I was a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, I liked Paul Scholes, Patrice Evra, Edwin van der Sar, Anderson. But if you want to talk to me about rumors: I’m at Leipzig and I feel good.

The long-term injuries to both Justin and Fofana aren't making Leicester hesitant over renewing their contracts.

Christian Falk has stated a bunch of non-Bayern-Munich-related stuff in this article, but the Munich-specific contents in this article are quite interesting.

I didn't think about Newcastle, but yeah, they'd happily go after him. I wonder if Auba would be interested enough in going there.
Genuine question: beyond wishful thinking, why does everybody assume newcastle are dumb now?

I mean, you can't argue aubameyang's quality. Being prem proven is a huge plus, if money isn't a problem now, it would be an obvious move that could save them from relegation.

Uh, you can very much argue the quality of a player who is 32, on massive wages, and scored 14 goals in his last 43 PL games...

They don't have a sporting director at the moment, so Eddie Howe has the control over their transfer targets. His transfer record has been questionable, and it wouldn't surprise me if he'd become interested in Aubameyang over time. That's not the case at the moment, and maybe Howe himself won't ever be keen on Auba. Still, I can't really rule it out given his past striker acquisitions.

He is clearly at minimum a midtable striker, which is what they need. He will at least get you 10 goals in a season, which is something they need and why would they give a toss about wages if it kept them in the prem?

Is he? Because he's playing on a midtable team right now and they want rid of him

Why would they pay 20+ goals wages to a 10 goal striker? There's plenty of those to go around who are cheaper

Hmm, to be fair to Arsenal, they are a little bit better than that.

Because who else could they get that's available in Jan? I also think he'd get more than 10 too, personally anyway.

They would have to take a massive gamble on someone from abroad or a lower league, which is just not feasible. It's not a long term move, but would easily be the best option.

As opposed to taking a gamble that Auba is not a spent force?

If you have half a season to pin your hopes on, I'd have to say it's a wiser gamble.

Don't get me wrong, I totally get your points, but they're not really in a position to get anyone decent in, so it's the best of a bad bunch of options IMO.

Probably the last club who would want him when their manager demands high work rate and tactical shape. That requires intellect and effort.

Yeah I thought the same. I reckon the Atletico links are purely because we play them in the CL next.

Basically, Barcelona have put Sergiño Dest up for sale, but the player himself doesn't want to leave.

I think he may have forgotten that del Piero went over to Sydney FC in Australia instead of MLS, but I can see his point.
