I still don't understand why these agents agree to these dumb release clauses that are pointlessly astronomical.

i guess these expensive type of release clauses as so high they’re more or the less the same as having no release clause at all, which is true for most players outside of Spain.
Despite not saying no to that, he did stress that Chelsea aren't actively working on Haaland at this time.

Tuchel's quotes:
When he was asked about bringing Haaland in next summer or whether Lukaku means no Haaland:
The Tuchel quote about not being serious for now:
He just came back from international duty!Ask him again when he’s on international duty.
Barça works on the renovations. Ousmane Dembélé can become a big mess, the parties still do not approach. At the moment there is no appointment to talk about Sergi Roberto's new contract: it seems that the club and the representatives will resume everything in November.
Ronald Araújo's renewal is NOT imminent. The defender ends his contract in June 2023 and Barça wants to absolutely keep him but still have to negotiate.
I’m very relaxed about it. I feel honoured, but nothing more. I have my focus here at Salzburg. We play well together. It works perfectly.
I’m focused on here (Napoli) first and foremost. The rumours will come, they always come, they are always seen and not heard. But the truth is that no, I am very calm. If the time comes, the time will come, but right now, I’m here with Napoli; I’m focused here, and I’m going to do my best, as always.
Pedri, Ansu and…Ousmane Dembélé. The news is that in the next few days Barcelona will insist to renew the Frenchman who ends his contract in June. The club wants to fix the situation and will try its best to retain him. Let's see what the representative of the winger thinks...
Ansu Fati will earn almost €50 million gross over the next five years.
Yeah, we follow Andreas, of course we do. He’s a very good player, fantastic person. And I’m so happy for him that he’s enjoying it over there. Because for us, it was the point: ‘Andreas, now you go and show how good you are’. I couldn’t give him enough playing time and we know the quality in him. When he has the trust and belief, he’s top quality, so I’m happy for him.
You know, at a certain stage of a player’s career, it’s important that you play enough at a high level. Last year, Andreas went on loan, he didn’t play enough. The season before, he played a lot for us, but then we signed Bruno. And I’m happy for him now and I’ll see him soon.
Of course. When he keeps on playing like he can do, at his best level, he’s a top player.
The positional of technical director is one for the long term. Marc set things in motion a few years ago. He did this from a certain vision, he introduced structure and managed. It’s started to grow and I don’t think the process is over yet.
Marc hasn’t informed me [about the Newcastle interest]. I don’t think he’s withholding anything from me either. I’m not working on [going to Newcastle] and now is definitely not the time.
I can taste the Champions League here at a German top club; this was the best choice. I am very happy here.
I am not thinking too much ahead yet, but one day I would like to play in the Premier League. That has been a dream since I was little. Norwich and Crystal Palace were interested, as was Lazio, but Wolfsburg was the best choice at the time. The Bundesliga is not inferior to the Premier League, but one day, I want to make the step to England.
Selected quote to summarise the above video clip:
It will be difficult for me to fulfil the year I have left. When I left there it was because of that, because my time there is over. I think I will not have problems with the club because they behaved very well with me, because I asked to leave and they never put any impediment on me, they gave me all the facilities to leave. When you have a bad time there, and I have been through it a lot, in the end what you want is to leave, and I have been able to leave.
To say that the club is broke is ridiculous. Last season we had a surplus, after a season without season tickets, without ticket sales… The deficit would have been resolved by selling Kounde and we showed that we are economically powerful and we will not accept €50m. To say that Sevilla is broke is not to have affection for the club.
Rüdiger’s entourage is asking for €12m clean. A few days ago, there was a call from a La Liga club, and that was the answer. On top of that price, there would be the signing bonus. The salary they are looking for is that amount.
