They could easily outbid us. And he may fancy working for Pep.
What we’re depending on is that; Ole’s personal connection, the history of Utd, he’d be a certain starter and him being invested in a building something here. Finances will never be an issue for City

I’m talking exclusively about the abuse he gets for wanting better players

I would not blame any manager for wanting better players....but as we have seen with our previous managers, they need to have a plan on how to get the best out of those players.

With Kane now staying at Spurs, it’s looking likely that City will go for Haaland next season. With his release at 65m they can offer the 100m they were going to splash on Kane. Who can rival them?
Great. So now City will be in for Haaland next summer. Thanks for screwing up our transfer plans, Kane! So selfish. Still, suppose he gets 1 more of year of feeling like a big fish in a small pond, along with the epitome of unambition that is Son.

Kane says he's staying this summer, he'll be flirting with City again next year.

Nervous that puts us back in for him next summer too. He's a quality player, but I think we'd benefit more from a Haaland forward than we would Kane.

I’m talking about the dross he was left, and it was a dross squad. I was addressing someone’s point that he wants new players and my point is can you honestly blame him for that?
Then again if you’re in the ole out school you could probably blame him for it raining in Manchester

I’m not a Solskjaer fanboy. I look at the stats and the obvious improvement from being nowhere in the picture 3 years ago to being a contender. This “Happy with second!”facetious replies are based on nothing. We all know City are far ahead. So were Liverpool. It’s blatantly obvious that without an elite holding midfielder we do not get to the top.
Liverpool's squad have gad no world-class midfielder in their 19/20 season.....Klopp has brought them to another level.

Chelsea have had no great striker last season....they won the CL.

Just excuses for Solskjaer.....this is now his 4th season.....he has improved us but we will never the big trophies with him because he isn't a great coach.
But with Varane and Sancho.....our squad is much better than last season therefore he must win a trophy or he must go.

How is that deal even a thing? Madrid could save 100m and still give Mbappe a ridiculous signing on fee. For the sake of 12 months playing with arguably the greatest ever at the age of 22.

Bizarre

When are people going to stop peddling this fecking nonsense? Keane did NOT end Haaland’s career!
Someone in another thread last night I think posted about Law's goal relegating United - so the Keane-Haaland myth has a while to run yet

Official: AC Milan sign Pietro Pellegri from Monaco on loan with a purchase option that can become obligatory after certain conditions are met.

Guido Albers adds on to what Ole said earlier about Donny being important this season:
Everyone in the club knows that Donny cannot have another season like last year. The fans had already embraced him before, but the most important thing is that the trainer has now provided clarity to the English press. We are happy with that. And I assume that Donny will play a lot in one of the positions in midfield in the coming period.

If Romano was talking about Donny potentially leaving, it could be based on the bolded statement. If Donny doesn't get much match time, then he'll likely leave the club next summer.

Sounds like that's the end of our window. Our inability to sell has hurt our chances of buying players the manager actually wants.

We really should have shifted Dalot and at least one of Lingard/VdB, if Ole felt they were not up to it.

Ole was talking him up earlier in preseason, but hasn't played him at all - he didn't even get on when we substituted both Fred and Matic vs Saints. One can only assume that Ole's spiel was largely about trying to attract a buyer for the player.

  • Odriozola will make his decision today.
    • Real Madrid are open to letting him go on loan.
  • On Celik, Fiorentina are waiting on Lille to lower their demands.
    • Reminder: Fiorentina offered €8m, but Lille want €12m
  • Torreira's arrival at Fiorentina can mean that Sofyan Amrabat can depart the club.

"Did that tackle end my career? Well, I never played a full game again, did I? It seems like a great coincidence, don’t you think?"

Yeah. You know better than him though mate.
